| Jonathan Robbins | Either you like tetris or you don't... But if you're a tetris fan, you won't go far wrong with this. 3 game modes - the classic continuous "faster-and-faster", plus "highest-score-in-3-minutes" and "40-lines-as-quickly-as-possible". Instinctive and responsive controls. Not much sound, but who needs that? Great stuff overall... Although maybe a few more game variations might add even more longevity. |

Lacking in the old retro tetris music with a few little sound effects.
The game is a little slow but very pleasing to play.
The game saves which level you got up to, and allows you to select which level you want that you have got up to.
If you know your peice is in-line, press the button to drop it rapidly, as this will speedily gain you more points!!!
There is a counter that informs you of how many lines you need to complete in order to continue onto the next level.
A game well worth having indeed for you mobile fun!!!

| Robert Chambers | Tetris has at last found it's natural interface! The touch screen control for tetris on the nokia 5800 xpressmusic is so much more intuitive than any other control scheme i've come across for the game in the last 25 years. I'm still not very good at it but this made me so much better it is remarkable.
The biggest improvement over other mobile device control schemes is the removal of the rotation function from the full instant drop function. I can not tell you how many games on the n78-3 i've seen ruined by having a piece I wanted rotated dropped because the nav key is used for both. This totally eliminates that frustrating issue! Kudos to the coder and designers for changing that!
Aside from the interface what else can I say about tetris that hasn't already been said? This is a classic that has lost none of it's playability in the last quarter century. If you have the 5800 and you have ever liked tetris even a little you are going to have to get this to fully understand what a difference a touch screen makes to gaming even when you are not directly manipulating the pieces. |
