Valkyria Chronicles is a popular Japanese tactical game which has a surprisingly strong following in Western territories. Recently, Sega released Valkyria Revolution, the fourth installment in the series, on Xbox One. It’s unclear how well the game did but today the publisher announced that Valkyria Chronicles 4 will be coming to consoles in 2018.
In Valkyria Chronicles 4, players return to a continent ravaged by conflict with a familiar-yet-refined tactical role-playing battle system. According to the developers, its vibrant and evocative art style portrays a living canvas of watercolors, and a gripping World War II-inspired story full of momentous triumphs, heartbreaking loss, and unexpected hope for the human spirit. It’s unclear when Valkyria Chronicles 4 is going to hit Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PlayStation 4 next year as Sega didn’t provide a concrete release date.
