How to PlayAfter launching the game, you are automatically sent to the beginning of Evolution Mode.Evolution Mode: Use the D-Pad to navigate your creature. Hold "OK" to dash toward smaller creatures and eat them. This will increase your DNA bar. If larger creatures touch you, you will take damage and shrink in size. Shrink too much and you'll become extinct. As you continue to increase your health and grow, your hearts fill and your creature grows in size. You can also collect symbiotes for a special bonus. Burst bubbles by pushing them into teeth or spikes and eat the food inside. When you have completed a level, your stats – both level and game – will be displayed. These stats include number of organisms eaten, damage taken, highest combo, symbiotes, time and score. Upon the completion of some levels you will have the option to customize your creature in the Editor. Survival Mode: Use the D-Pad to navigate your creature and press "OK" to use the power-ups you have gained. Attempt to eat the spinning food modules before the enemies attack. Eat enough spinning food modules to fill your DNA bar and progress to the next level.Arena Mode: A unique networked mode in which you can send your creature into battle against creatures created by other players. Excellent concept, brilliant execution. The only disappointment here is that the basic game is very simple to complete. I assume that the online interactive elements are more challenging, but I don't wish to spend valuable phone time on a game. I leave that part for someone else to investigate.

The game is an eat-or-be-eaten dodging game, as you try to eat anything smaller than you and not be eaten by anything bigger than you. Munch enough opponents and you "evolve". The levels become increasingly difficult to the point of nigh-on impossible, but if you get there, you can swap your creations with other players. A good idea, by turns frustrating and fun.

As an owner of ea spore creature creator I had to try this.
The graphics are clear and the controls easy to use.
The principle of the game is easy as is the 1st level. After that it becomes devilishly difficult and I have spent a lot of time trying to develop my spore.
The game is a pleasant distraction, quite entertaining and very absorbing on the later levels. Haven't finished it yet and not sure if there is a finish. I expect it will keep me occupied on and off over several more weeks.
