Nintendo Switch Xbox achievements for Ori and the Blind Forest to be fixed soon

One of the best games on Xbox One is now also one of the best games on Nintendo Switch, in the form of Ori and the Blind Forest.

Ori and the Blind Forest is an industry-leading platformer from Moon Studios, published exclusively by Xbox Game Studios. The game recently made its way accross to Nintendo Switch with a few nifty enhancements, bringing along its stunning art, responsive controls, and emotional narrative to an all-new audience.

Ori is also among the first games to utilize the Nintendo Switch API for Xbox Live achievements, complete with gamerscore boosts for your Xbox account. Unfortunately, a few have noticed that they don’t seem to appear as part of your achievement list.

A Moon Studios spokesperson recently reached out to let us know that it’s simply a display bug. Xbox is tracking the gamerscore for achievements earned while playing, but the ability to view them will come along at a later date.

“We are currently working to patch a bug that does not allow people playing on Switch to view their achievements in the Xbox App and on their Xbox console, and we’re expecting a fix to rollout soon. In the meantime, players are still able to unlock achievements and increase their Gamerscore while playing the game.”

If you have a Nintendo Switch, signing in to your Microsoft Account can be done from the main menu, using a web browser and a code provided by the game. Once you’ve linked up your accounts, it will begin tracking the achievements you’ve gotten on Nintendo Switch, but it won’t be until this patch rolls out that you’ll be able to view them.
