Review
of Sim City
|
| Ben Scottrobinson | A great game, but limited help functions and building descriptions makes it difficult to work out the logic. |
| Paolo Severa | Surely a very beautiful game. A real classic! |
| Dessy ilsanty Syarif | Easy to play.. Good enough to kill time. |
| Tony Sergi | Very close to the original! Though, it's kind of slow. Play area is annoyingly too small,. But I don't imagine it going bigger with the speed it plays, slowest java game i've ever played ;)
But it's fun at night. |
| Natalie Kay | Excellent game, has kept me entertained for hours. It is a lot more basic than the pc version, but it doesn't make it easier to play! There are plenty of levels to keep you busy and even the free play is good where you can see just how rich you can get! Great for any long car journeys. Highly recommended. |
| Helen Bowman | Another good game would recommend. |
| Robert Seddon-smith | I think this game really lacked interest, and I wouldnt really reccomend to others. There is some fun to be had out of it, but after a while its just another thing taking up memory space. |
| Mark Ostrow | It is a good mobile version of sim city. Just like the previous reviewer had stated - as you get further along in the game, there is a delay when using the menus.
Other than that - it is fine.
Pretty much like the old sim city from the 80s. |
| Arienne Bansemer | It's not involving or challenging enough for me. |
| Alexandre Gouverneur | It is very well designed but a lot of stuff are not implemented such as aeroports, train stations ...
It's a good game, but i'm just a little bit disapointed by the lack of entities that we can add to our cities. |
| Kian Mokhtary | Sim city on your mobile wow! Its not bad at all but dont be fooled by the cover of the game as the graphics are not the same. You will be playing the original sim city that I once played on my amiga back in the day! The only problem with the game is the cursor as you have to keep tapping the cursor keys to move between each pixel of land you want to contruct buildings on this can be annoying. Considering this is on your mobile, it really isnt too bad worth considering if your a fan of the sim city series. |
| Gwen Bolton | Good game, runs a little slow on the v3 razr but can still keep you amused for many hours. Controls are easy. Land area could do with. |
| Kath Butler | Great game, similar to the pc version. Map could be a bit bigger but hey. |
| Dan Clements | Great game! Just like the pc version! Top buy! |
| Marcin Figura | The map could be bigger. There is a limited free play avaiable, if you are not a scenario person, like me, it matters. At least one time or two times zoom options could make a sweet difference. This is n70 edition, maybe phones with higer screen resolution got all these goodies. |
| Emily Cross | Good game, kept me entertained for hours, the map is small but still usable and the interface is easy to navigate. The only slight problem is the lack of continuing movement as you navigate the map so each square is moved by a single direction tap meaning you do end up with aching thumb and my phone now needs attention as the joystick thing is now not working properly - probably just played it too much! If you like this kind of game you will enjoy this one! |
| Kevin Blain | Pretty accurate version of the classic game.
Tedious on a small screen without a mouse, but fun all the same. |
| Barry Roberts | I have always been a fan of this type of game, but wasn't sure how it would translate on to a mobile phone. Simple controls mean you can start playing very quickly with some degree of success, and there are enough game features to keep you coming back for more. The small screen is restrictive, but you can get used to it. Gameplay slows down occasionally but this might be down to the limitations of the phone. Creating the landscape can be done quickly allowing you to react to what type of buildings are in demand, which allows the game to flow without becoming frustrating. One annoying aspect though is how fast the roads degrade, forcing you to rebuild. There doesn't seem to be any consistency as roads just seem to disappear randomly. Overall though I like it and expect to be playing it for some time to come. |
| Stewart Robinson | As a long time sim city player this latest incarnation for mobile platforms is a bit of a mixed bag.
The obvious restrictions of the contrl mechanism (compared to the pc mouse) makes for a stop and go experience, but if you have a little patience there's a pretty good game to be had.
Actually, it doesn't matter how stilted the controls are (and a lot of that will depend on your phone's processor) this is sim city in your pocket!
