Review
of Monopoly Here and Now

| Adam Carter | Overall it's a good game and it's kept me playing it for a fair while. The game play is nice with some good animations and the ability to save the game and come back to it later was something that other versions seemed to lack but is pretty much a necessity unless you've got 40 mins to an hour to play a full game in one go.
A really nice feature is the "house rules" where you can customise how the game is played so that it doesn't strictly follow the rules e. G. Properties don't get auctioned if you don't buy, or the taxes going to free parking etc.
However it's not perfect and there are a few negatives. Ai isn't great. The level of ai seems to refer more to how lucky cpu opponents are when it comes to rolling the dice rather than anything else i. E. The higher the ai the less likely they are to land on your property. Cpu players also make really dumb trades which always spoils a game e. G. One player trading a property that completes a set for the player they're trading with for a property that doesn't complete a set for them. Who would accept a proposal like that in real life? Cpu opponents also keep coming back with the same trade proposals time after time. If I didn't accept it the first twenty times, i'm unlikely to accept it now!!
If you can cope with these however then it's a decent enough game. |
| Scott Greenwood | Always loved monopoly since I was a kid and this game just brings back so many good memories. Brilliant game and good take on the original with more up to date pieces and different variations. Many hours of fun to be had, highly recommend and well worth the £3.99. |
| Christopher Brown | Not a bad little game to be honest, certainly helped passing those boring moments at work. |
| Mike Hough | I had a similar version on my n95. It was perfect. So yes I do like this version. Except for one really annoying issue. On my n97 whenever a player gets a community chest or chance card, it only displays the top half of the card. So unless I get a advance to go or go to jail card, I have no idea what card says. I don't really like the trade screen either. I would prefer to see a 'bigger picture'. |
| Betty Pichardo | Nice game. Remembering old times. |
| Karen Walsgrove | Excellent and very addictive. |
| monkeystar 36 | Brilliant! The game downloaded succesfully, however internet charges apply :(. But i'm glad I brought it. Works perfectly and provides me with something fun to do insted of dying of bordem when I have to wait for people. Animations make the game work well and is great game. Buy it as soon as you can. |
| Tal Cohen | Great game!!
Same as we were young and even more apgraded, because you can take anywhere and continu whenever you want.
***** very recommended for 5800. |
| Laura Tjunina | Really great! Even better than I expected. |
| Aleno Todd | I like the game very much , been a big fan of monopoly from ever since . I'd give it a 9. |
| Neil Evans | Everyone knows what they get with monopoly. The board game that has been going for what seems like centuries is reinvented very nicely in it's mobile form. There are plenty of animations which help the game's look and feel - all of which can be sped up if you hold down a certain key. Of course you can play with friends on a bus or plane journey as it has the multiplayer option, or you can play against some tough computer players who have pretty good ai. The games longevity can run and run as we have seen since the beginning of time! As long as people want to become the property king and monopolise everything and everybody, there will be a little space for monopoly whether it is in board format or on your mobile. |
| Carolyn Stokes | Great to use, and can be played together as a group. |
| Roger Smith | This is brilliant! |
| Vicky Page | Excellent game true monopoly and up to date if you love this also try out monopoly world!! |
| Sarah Barwick | Just like the real thing, and so much quicker and easier to play. Good to play aganst mates, but the ai players are good enough to test you. |
| Pallon Daruwala | Awesome!! Brings back memories of my younger days!
I love the graphics and the animations. The sound is very good but I wish there were different levels that it could be set at.
My biggest wish would be for the game to fill the internal screen of my nokia e90! |
| Ben Vincent | Great version of the game. Great animation and the ai computer player is good. |
| Daniel Rosenbluth | Except for the fact that it is hard to change the user's icon, it is a great game. |
| M l Ford | Reasonably good game although instructions aren't very clear and it took me a while to work out how to propose a trade. |
| Barrie Toynton | Works very well on n95 once you start playing you can not stop the graphics are real good . Very good game. |
| Juan carlos Quiroz del pozo | The best game I have bought!! |
| Seb Smith | Brilliant game with plenty of replay value with different hardness settings, multi player too so great for long journeys! |
| Dominik Stozki | Always have loved to play the game. |
| Meredith Dart | The game graphics are reasonable and the game play not bad. I was never that good at the original board game, and I am left with the sinking feeling that it's rigged in the ai favour!
However, if you like monopoly - and know something about modern london - this is a good game. |
| Elisa Robson | Great game and animation. Even if you win a few times on the easy level you get the choise to more onto a harder level. Also you can change the options at the start of a new game like you can either opt to get no money if you pass go or change it so you receive more and if you land on ti you get double. You can also opt to start off with some property so you can start getting money of the other players straight away. Also you can play upto 4 players. |
| Jayne Tindale | Love it! If you love monopoly get this! |
| Matthew Williams | easy to install, great fun... |
| Douglas Vleeshhouwer | Great game! |
| Alan Stewart | Very good game, playable over and over, really does help pass time. |
| David Christensen | Plays better than I had hoped. |
