Review
of Age of Empires III Mobile
|
| Mathew Crompton | Its awesome.. |
| Stuart Riley | Great version for the mobile. The levels were a bit too easy even on the difficult session. Addictive. |
| Paul Mitchell | Addictive, enjoyable game. Unfortunately it crashes frequently when you playing against more than one opponent. |
| Simon Shotton | A suprisingly good conversion of the pc game series, though slightly limited game play options in comprison (but to be expected)... You could well while away many hours playing it. |
| Borut Vidosevic | Overall a very good game. Similar to pc version, albeit smaller in scope. Has reasonably good user interface. Graphic is good, although some details, as well as fonts are getting too small for my eyes (this may have something to do with me rather than with the game, though). |
| Adam Purser | This is brilliant gane and lives upto the pc version. It is a shme that there is not an addtion to the difficulty and a few more missions but well worth the money. |
| Paula Mason | Brilliant campaign mode, but skirmish mode can get boring since the ai keeps building towers constantly. 8/10 game. |
| Thomas | Age of empires iii mobile brings the popular rts series to the cell phone, with only a few notable problems. Featuring a lengthy campaign mode, aoe iii boasts fast load times and easily naviagted menus. However, the graphics could be more detailed, and the units could be slightly larger and easier recognised. Overall, this game is a worthy addition to the age of empires franchise. |
| Joshua Westbury | Overall good enjoyable attempt at bringing rts to mobile, although if you're used to the sprawling maps of pc games the playing area here feels miniscule and the unit limit equally crippling. Interface is smooth and particularly well written, making the potentially difficult task of commanding different units actually very easy.
Gameplay is straightforward rts standard with resource-gathering, base-building, upgrading and skirmishing. Battles are fairly simple - get a big group of mixed units and send them onto the enemy - any more precise tactics are too fiddly (although the game does allow orders during pause which helps if you want to try this).
Easy level is too easy; hard level actually presents a good challenge in later campaign levels or in player vs computer skirmishes (you can play against one or two computer opponents). |
| Ashley Sandell | Good game, bit easy tho. |
| Israar Shah | Very good came to play, I enjoyed every single bit of it. |
| Johan Tidblad | Good game and true to the original. I dislike, however, that buildings can not be placed in enemy territory or very next to your own buildings. |
| Ian Roebuck | A very good game this good campaigns. |
| Johannes De beer | I played the game completely after I bought it, then let it go for a few months. I recently started playing the game again, and can guarentee you that it is addictive.
It does what it is supposed to do and is worth buying. |
| Tazidin Ziric | I bought a 6-7 games by now but this one is must have, why... Just imagine real aoe3 - in mobile edition, its just good as real aoe3 just mini version... Pes08 + aoe3 are my favs. |
| James Kirkpatrick | Great game, but a bit annoing when troops just stop doing anything. Also, can't see the 'free' mode, so all games follow same basic pattern. Good fun though ! |
| Tan Yap soon | Is an great games ! I only been for the second stages of the games but already excited me much. For sure I will spent most of my time in the future to explorer the games. Thanks ! |
| Roger Phillips | Graphics aren't great - there's a lot crammed into most scenes - especially in the later quests. Plenty of scenarios to keep you (and your optician!) occupied though. Reasonable vaule for money. |
| David King | I love this game, and for a long time couldn't put it down. The controls are fantastic - you can build markets, harvest food or attack with dragoons all at the push of a few buttons. The graphics are pretty good, and resource management isn't too tricky, especially when you've built a market. However, this game has quite a steep learning, curve, with things not explained too well in the first mission. That said, once you can do it it all becomes a lot easier, and the earlier missions only teach you a few things at a time. However, I quickly worked out a winnig tactic, and it was fun for a long time, but games became repetitive, and it was the only tactic I could find. It's still very worth the money, and i'd give it 8/10. |
| Shaun Rutherford | Excellent game! A must! |
| Graham Oxley | Difficult to play. Graphics are excellent. Will keep you busy for hours. |
| Andres D'andrea | An extremely good strategy game for mobile. I have been always an aoe fan and this version did not disappoint me at all. Every time I play it in my nokia 6265 I get amazed by the good graphics and the lot of fun I get with it. No more boring time under traffic or making a line in the bank. Recomended 110%. |
| Kieron Smith | A very good game, very entertaining. Good graphics and definitely in the age of empires spirit! An all round impressive mobile phone adaptation. |
| Adam Purdy | I like the graphics, the game play and the strategy, a great way to kill some time. |
| Greg Clark | Great game but game play over too quickly for me. |
| Frank Hamilton | Good game, a little slow to run sometimes...
The missions are entertaining but tasks seem pretty samey.... Would like the option to build and increase population on a larger scale aswell...
Definatly good for killing time on train journeys tho!! |
| Mark Tucker | Good port of the pc game if a bit basic in options. I often download games and only play them a couple of times but keep coming back to this one. |
| Claire Easson | Didn't enjoy this one at all - the graphics were poor and the gameplay wasn't much fun. |
| Jason Wade | Literaly a mini version. |
| Brett Crandell | Excellent game. Great re playability. Could be a little more challenging but otherwise very good. |
| Michele Trinchese | Excellent for a mobile phone game. There are 15 missions to complete and then you can have hours of fun with skirmish. All the main features of the pc game are there and you can save games. Recommended. |
| Kane Nicholson | Top game bit like the first ever aoe on pc. |
| davepollarduk3 | This game is fantastic - the controls work well and its not too challenging at first - I am loving ever minute of playing this - I just wish my battery would last longer lol. |
| Luis marco Espinoza torres | Good graphics. |
| Marco Tripodi | Great game! Fast, great graphic and fun to play. |
| Ian Plamondon | This is the type of mobile game you would expect for the aoe line. The missions are a bit short and linear, but the basics of the aoe games that you are familiar with are all there. Gathering wood/food/gold to build your empire, advance it through the ages and upgrade your troops, a formula any aoe player is familiar with. The only major feature missing is the ability to control the units in any type of formation. That aside, aoe iii mobile is a plesant distraction for a few hours. |
| prince zcx | I have the ages of empire 3 pc game and know for a fact that its a good game. But it doesn't work very well on my phone which is an lg shine ke970. Now it may just be my particular handset but if you have this phone you may want to look into it a bit before you buy. |
| Lorenzo Novara | Nice, but very limited and difficult to play on a mobile phone. |
| Ricky Sharp | Great game. Fast and fun. |
| Thiago Sousa | It's a great strategy game. I like it very much! |
| Michael Farmer | Loved the game on the pc love it on the mobile as well. |
| Juan Jimenez | Great great game, but a bit to easy.
Think this is on of the best (if not the best) strategy game give a great game play on a cell phone.
No slow down et great graphics.
I give a 9/10. |
| Tracy Howard | Think this is a great game for your phone, is just like the pc game but on a smaller scale. |
| Desmond Hooper | Superb! Exactly what you expect from the game and a very usefull save feature.
Campaign mode perhaps a little too easy even on the harder difficulty but thanks to the nifty skirmish mode its a game you can play again and again! |
| James Poel | What can I say, I knew it was going to be as brilliant as I thought. ^_^
Im not so sure about the workers not having to return to a storage house anymore... :/ that was an enjoying aspect of the old game
But thank god! They have put in the save game feature that was soo much lacking from its predesessor
I think one thing that is maybe lacking is the speed of the last game, which was allot quicker than this one, units seam to move at snails pace, may be more realistic, but also gets very draining when trying to move long distances
No doubt this game isnt good for your eyes :p. |
