| Sergio Truffo | The good: possibly the most impressing 1-1 fighting game available on any cellphone, with several different characters for you to choose from, all of them able to use martial arts, weapons and magic, good animations, multiple combos, and great special effects.
The bad: the game is too easy. And too short. And (just because the game is too easy), you may fail to unlock special characters without even noticing you're doing anything bad. In fact, you are most likely not doing anything bad: you are just doing too good.
The trick: change the settings to make it harder for you to win. There are a lot of options you can change to make the game more difficult. If you like this game, change the options to make it as hard as it could be. Doing that would make it worth an 8. |

| Chris Walker | As there isnt many beat-em-up games on the mobile, I was sceptical that this would be any good. To be proven wrong with this jem was to say, a delight.
Medieval combat is exactly as it states, a blood and guts, glory of a combat game. The tone is set from the moment the start screen appears and the battle music is beating. Choosing from 7 characters (2 of which are unlockable) you battle in various arenas for the glory of combat.
You have the options to take a tutorial, train, just straight into action, arcade or survival. Each of which completes its purpose very well.
The battles themselves are very well done, you can play cautiously or go all out attack. Each match plays differently due to the different stats of the character you chose or play against.
Controlwise its done very well, with different attacks and defensive moves. All are very responsive and work very well within the game.
Graphics are superb and animations are slick. The combat looks brutal and all the moves are well done, detail on the backgrounds are excellent and everything goes well.
Sound wise the music is well done and the effects are adquate. But dont let it put you off.
While playing a neat feature suprised me and made this game one of the best beat-em-ups since street fighter 2.
During the battles if your either pounding your opponent or getting a good beating youll notice that parts of your armour can get knocked off. The action slows down just so you can see the armour fly off. It gives a great sense of satisfaction when your opponent isnt just losing the fight, but his armour too.
On the down side the game is a tad easy even on hard. But playing with weaker characters does help the longetivity.
So a 9/10 for this blood bath. |

| Brian Steiner | Pretty fun fighting game. Graphics are colorful and sound effects are cool although it could of used more voice. With only 4 characters and 2 unlockables (on v190) there really isn't much to it. Once you unlock more fighters, you can play again with the unlocked fighters and possibly unlock other stuff(?) but i'm not too sure. There is a survival mode which is challenging. Game is fun and almost worth $5.99 plus cost of internet fees on phone. There really isn't any other fighting games for my v190 phone so I chose this one. As far as a comparison to mortal kombat it really isn't. I didn't see any "fatalities" and fun stuff like that game had. You don't have the narrator before, during and after the fight. For it's time, this game is solid. There is a limit to what can be done for cell phone games, and for my model this is almost the limit. |
