Today, Warhorse Studios and Deep Silver revealed never-before-seen details about the choice system for the upcoming medieval role-playing game (RPG) Kingdom Come: Deliverance. The video walks you through the different ways you can approach missions.
Usually when you play open world games, the character can make decisions for himself. For example, in Fallout 4 or The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, the protagonist calls the shots. There’s no chain of command. In Kingdom Come: Deliverance, you have to constantly think about what your commanding officer will say or how others will be affected by your decision. While this may seem restrictive, it definitely adds to the realism. Even back then, soldiers couldn’t go around doing what they wanted, they had to follow a certain procedure. However, you can choose to ignore it if you will, but that may have consequences later.
