Description of
War Diary Torpedo 3220
...
Bay of Bengal, 1943. Only the periscope wake disturbs moonlit waters as you spy on dark shapes on the horizon. War Diary: Torpedo by Rovio Mobile puts you at the helm of your own World War Two submarine. Naval campaign set in the waters of Far East takes you right through the real events of the war, from the Fall of Burma to the surrender of Japan.
War Diary: Torpedo is a unique combination of action, simulation and naval tactics. As a British submarine skipper you must sink ships, infiltrate minefields, spy on hostile ports and extract commandoes from jungle shores. Success is rewarded with medals, promotions and assignments to more powerful submarines.
War Diary: Torpedo features both a top-down map of the battle area and a three-dimensional scope view. Multiple escort types, advanced enemy AI, aircraft and minefields put your seamanship to test. Submarine is no match for a warship in an open battle, so your keys to victory are skill, cunning and stealth.
War Diary: Torpedo is the WW2 era submarine simulator for mobile phones!
You are at the helm of your own World War Two submarine.
Easy controls put an entire submarine at your fingertips
War Diary: Torpedo features also changing weather conditions.

Review of
War Diary Torpedo 3220
|
| Joel Blackwell | Someone wrote (in a review of war diary) that it's a realistic sim. It isn't. At all. But, it's certainly fun though! It'd be even better if you could save mid-mission (so prepare to lose your progress if you need to quit before finishing a main task) but otherwise the gameplay is addictive, and the music is pretty good too... So time tends to fly when you're playing it. Another thing that helps the game a great deal is the mini-3d(ish) view at the bottom of the screen, which adds some nice visual depth to the game and saves it from being a standard 'top down' affair.
So in short- sub sims in general tend to be slow, tactical things. This game isn't a sim, but in its own simple way it allows you to get quickly stuck into some basic tactics, and have more fun doing so than what many sims will. Recommended. |
| Mathew Pratt | Absolutely cracking arcade-style sub game. Perhaps a little too easy once you progress to the larger subs, but challenging enough to keep you entertained. The game offers a good choice between following missions or simply cruising the seas and wreaking havoc on enemy shipping! Highly recommended for all you budding sub commanders! |
| Tony Holder | Great game, if you like war simulators this one is a recommended. |
