| Christian Webb | The strategy is simple... Find the pieces of cheese throughout each stage to amass points and the special cheese which will open the exit to get onto the next stage. There are of course various pitfalls to avoid along the way such as tom and his alley cat chums, mouse traps and black holes you have to leap over as well as fireplaces and cupboard doors to cross. To help you on your way you can collect a chilli pepper for a speed boost, a hat for momentary immunity and a jerry icon for a bonus life. With various levels of difficulty, and there are plenty of stages on each level to go at, it is a very well rounded game with good playability. The most stunning feature is the superb graphics which are very faithful to the tom & jerry cartoons with well drawn comical results should you collide with any of the perils that awaits. I would have liked to have seen more items to collect to further modify the behaviour of jerry but, all in all, for an eminently playable chase around all sorts of mazes and obstacles it is an excellent way to while away those spare moments. Highly recommended. |
