Naval Battle Mission Commander 6102I
...
Fear nobody on the open seas!
Naval Battle: Mission Commander offers you 5 original game modes, each one corresponding to a variation on the naval battle game, play against your friends using bluetooth.
In the Campaign mode, attempt to control the enemy fleet and rise in the ranks of your army through 18 captivating missions. You will control up to 8 ships, each one with their own special method of attack. But if you really want to wear down your rival, you'll also have to blast strategic items on his grid. For example, aim for the beacon to mark the position of enemy boats or even awaken the volcano to make it unleash its fury on everything surrounding it.
You'll also get to discover new naval battle variations thanks to the Salvo and Advanced modes. But if you get a little nostalgic for the old popular board game, bring back the classic rules in the Original mode. Plus, with the multi-player mode, you don't have to play alone anymore. Challenge one of your friends on your phone or even remotely on two phones with the Bluetooth mode!

Review of
Naval Battle Mission Commander 6102I

| Mark Amess | As a lifelong fan of battleships, however represented, this was never going to get a bad review! There are different modes of play including a full campaign. This is where the only negative element appears: once you have completed the second (of three) campaign segment, the ai becomes almost impossibly accurate at finding, and sinking, your entire fleet before you have chance to fire a few salvoes. They also seem to outnumber your forces more often than not. Whilst this may be seen as a challenge, the learning curve it follows suddenly changes to near vertical at this level. In other modes, the ships' special moves are very useful and an excellent way of prospecting for targets. The graphics are well-presented although the orange environment - sunset or twilight, I imagine - looks a little surreal. Icefields and desert islands, as well as the open sea, provide welcome variety. The multi-player mode ensures you can deliver your devastating naval artillery either "hot-seat" style or over bluetooth. Overall a little gem and no phone should be without it! |
| David Lawrence | Battleships has never been so much fun!
This game is perfectly suited for the mobile gaming experience. The gameplay is excellent, expanding on the battleships idea with special weapons, variable map grids, single player campaign missions, and bluetooth for playing your mates. Sound and graphics are also very good for a mobile game.
What more can I say? If you can recall enjoying the board game, or just looking for a game that's not too fiddly on your mobile, then this shouldn't disappoint.
I just hope my battery life will cope! |
| Andrew Gilliams | Just downloaded this and I love it already.
Not your bog-standard little battlships bash. There are lots of neat little awards that are given out when you fulfill certain goals, along with a hearty pat on the back from your superiors when you have done well.
With an instant action option and the choice to either auto set your fleet or stragegically place them yourself, the replay value in this one is good. |
