Midnight Pool brings you into the competitive universe of a genuine American pool hall. You will face 8 original players, none of whom are ever at a loss for words! Choose from 3 available characters, then unlock the others in Tournament mode, where you can play with the rule set of your preference: US 8-ball, UK 8-ball or 9-ball. As you continue on your winning streak, you can unlock new table baizes and cue colours for a completely customised gaming experience! Familiarise yourself with the rules, and special shots like the masse or the jump shot in Tutorial mode.
That is, if you are not already an expert! In Challenge mode, you can try your hand at executing set moves like sinking multiple balls in one shot, or pocketing the 8-ball without touching any others, and theres always Quick mode for a fast game! Whether youre a beginner or an experienced pool player, the intuitive gameplay and realistic graphics will make for rapid and total immersion, allowing you to enjoy the game right from the break!

| Paul Robson | Well what can I say? I honestly thought that when I got this that it would last all of five minutes before I became fed up with it and delete it from my phone.... Oh how wrong I was.
I have always thought that these sort of games should be taken with a pinch of salt as how much gameplay can you get from something so potentially repetetive, but I am pleased to say that midnight pool does keep you interested for a long time.
There are a number of different trick-shot type 'side missions' that you can complete along the way which can be accessed at any time from the main menu, which is great for a quick 2 minute fix while waiting for a bus, avoiding talking to people in shopping queues etc.
All in all a great game which is very entertaining, you'll even find yourelf humming the opening theme music and wishing you had it as a ringtone! (sweet home alabama)
A good buy for simple, uncomplicated fun, me and my work mates have spent many a night playing my phone to death with this game, definately recommend. |
| Matthew Tanner | My gosh!! This game is one that fully justifies three superlatives that i'm going to throw its way; 'fun', 'rewarding' and 'addictive'.
Midnight pool is the epitome of mobile gaming, great graphics, game play to drool over and a huge variation of game modes to keep you occupied, 8ball us, 8ball uk and 9 ball, not to mention a challenge feature, to name but a few. You will not get bored of this game quickly, matter of fact you could be playing this game night and day, I know I did.
It uses full screen on your w900i, it looks the part and easy to play. What more could you ask for from a mobile game? Ace game that you really should buy! |
| Mike Newhouse | Midnight pool is a brilliant game which is a lot of of fun and challenging to master.
The only negatives are that the career mode is a bit too short and not as well designed as it could have been. It doesn't have the really good game progession other sporting games like 'pro bowling 2' have.
Also , with the lg viewty version the spin button is far too close to the menu button. As a result, you have to be extremely precise when pressing the touch screen or you get sent back to the menu options. This can get frustrating after a while.
All in all though, this game is definitely worth a buy. 8/10. |
