Decades have passed and the war between mankind and the extraterrestrial invaders continues. Darkness and despair have spread throughout galaxy, and a single hope remains - the pilots of Alpha Wing.
As one of these three brave intergalactic heroes, it's up to you to defeat the alien menace. Take control of one of the Alpha Wing fighters and battle the advancing enemy over several spectacular but hostile planetary terrains. Each spacecraft has its own deadly weapon system to exterminate the vicious alien forces. But be warned - advanced space combat skills are essential to avoid their devastating attacks and your untimely demise.
These three courageous fighters are the last hope to defeat the evil alien insurgents and bring freedom to the galaxy. Failure is not an option!

| Ahmed Zafar | This is such an outstanding shoot-em-up game. I like the way you can choose from three different space-crafts. The game play it self is unique. I have had similar shoot-em-up games but nothing matches alpha wing 2. The graphics are superb on my nokia 5610. I am still hoping to complete the game from start to finish with each of the three space-crafts. Which I have not been able to do as yet. If I was to choose a favourite space-craft then I would say it will be a space-craft called flamingo. My second favourtie space-craft is called blue shark. Tthat just leaves the third ship which is called gecko being my final favourite. I would recommend this game to anyone who really enjoys this type of shoot em up. This one affordable game. By buying this game, I must admit it was £5 well spent. So to anyone who reads this review I recommend that you go ahead and by this game for your mobile. End of message. |
| Ian Cairns | If you like 2d shooters this game is recommended. It's a bit slower paced than some shooters which isn't a bad thing considering the limitations of the controls on some mobile phones. There are 3 worlds which are split into another 3 parts making a total of 9 levels. There is 1 boss per world. It would have been nice to have a few more bosses as sometimes it feels a bit repetetive. For 4 quid i'm not complaining though as it's a great little game if you like games of this genre, :-). |
| Phil Bennett | This was a suprise! The graphics are slick, colourful. Sets its self appart from other mobile games. Its actually a competant shooter and before you realise it, its a challenge.
The graphics style for each area is good, split into different worlds. It has a good manga feel about it.
All the power ups and aliens attacking in differing and challenging waves is here. Just the ticket for 30 mins of distraction.
Why not a higher score than 8 then? An increasing bug bear of mine. Poor sound. The tunes are fine, but where are the shooting and zapping sounds to add to the mayhem? If you clould have sound fx or music that would be fine.
So a worthy 8. Wouls of been a 9.5 with the right sounds. |
