| Samuel Pickard | I was determined to like this game. I'm old enough to remember hypersports and track & field the first time around, so I was really interested in playing this. First impressions we're good. This feels like a polished title, with lovely graphics.
The game is a collection of 10 mini games, ranging in difficulty and interest. At one end is the very boring and easy fencing game, where you have to get 15 hits on your opponent. At the other end is the challenging gymnastics event, where you have to press the right key on your phone at the right time.
The problem with this game is balance. Most of the events are too easy, or too difficult, particularly on the hard level. Equestrian is a case in point - pitfully easy on the easiet setting, impossible on the hardest.
As a complete game of ten events, then you've got variety, but not enough to actually provide playability. Its all too boring, too short and lacks any replayability.
And the sound is dreadful.
Overall, its difficult to recommend this game when your fiver will be much better spent elsewhere. |
