Customer Reviews
Nokia 5800 game review. A nice touch in mobile gaming. Sounds and music that can put you in the right climate. It is intended for casino lovers and funs of other gaming interest may get tired of it after some time (fortunately quite a while).
- Demos Mastroyannis 8/10
A great collection of casino games, and the graphics is mind-blowing and smooth. A near-to-life casino experience, but without losing any money - aside from the game purchase, but it's well worth the money spent.
- Kim Andre 9/10
This is a pretty good casino game. It has good versions of blackjack, slots, video poker, and roulette. The slots pay off enough to keep it fun. It is not quite as good as midnight casino, but unfortunatly this appears to be all that is available now that I switched phones.

Townsmen 6 - Revolution review from www.gamemobile.co.uk |
|
|
|
Townsmen 6 - Revolution
Description
Play your part in the French Revolution! Mobilize the population and march towards Paris to overturn the king. Conquer France's Départments by creating villages and complete the tasks set to you. Construct buildings, like fisher huts, farms, forges or bakeries to sustain a solid economic cycle. Catch fish, harvest fields, get water and use various natural resources that are needed to expand your influence. Upgrade your buildings, learn new ways to improve the productivity and spread out on the French territory. Control your Townies and assign them to different tasks to manage your settlement in the most efficient way, but respect their needs to keep them and their wives happy. Prepare the population by training soldiers and propagandists to fight the royal troops. But beware the king's wrath! He will send soldiers to attack you and to conquer your villages. Arm yourself or spread your word by propaganda, it's your choice! Show the Townettes that you are a real Townsman!
© 2009, www.handy-games.com GmbH
Move the game cursor across the screen to choose a building or scroll at the display's edges. Pressing the action key above a building, calls for an info screen, including the possibility to assign workers and to upgrade the building's level, as long as the research for it has been done. Pressing the action key at an empty spot calls for a quick action menu that allows you to put up a new building, look at the town's statistics and the mission log or open the storage/trade menu.
Customer Reviews
I've spent the last ... God knows how many hours playing townsmen 6 on the n97, and I would recommend it to anybody.
Summarry:
This rts is in depth, engaging and quite simply the best rts i've played on my phone or nintendo ds for that matter!
Gameplay: you play as a town builder during the french revolution. You will be guided through this age via various small missions, much like on age if empires for mobile. To complete each scenario you must achieve certain objectives. You do this buy building various structures for your town, manage a labour force, manage what some structures produce and on the latter levels defend these structures with your army. It sounds like quite alot to manage at once, but with intuitive touch screen as well as qwerty controls it doesn't feel like much of a chore at all.
Graphics: the game consists of cartoon like graphics, which as of suprisingly good quality for a mobile phone game! My one gripe with them would be that you cannot zoom in closer to the map, but the fixed camera position serves its purpose well so this isn't too much of a problem.
Sound: the sound is rather basic. You can choose from either sound effect or music. Both get a little tiresome after a while, but do fitin well with the game itself.
- MR AMATOSI 9/10
This truly a fantastic game, initially a bit confusing, working out how to assign workers to tasks but with some perserverance its easy. Excellent sound effects. The graphics are also the best I have seen on a mobile game. I have been playingthis game for weeks. Truely super, I cant stop playing, much tothe irration of my partner. If you like age of empires or settlers you will love this. Challanging and I have still not completed, but now playing round for the secondtime. Just whenyou thinkit cant get any better you get a new building to build or a new research. Just absolutely brilliant. Please make more like this.
- Anonymous Review 10/10
Absolutely amazing game!
Thoroughly recommend this game.
The variety of different strategies which can be used to surpass each level.
There are easy to use tutorials, a simple interface, and many enjoyable levels which can be played again and again!
The best game I have ever had on my phone!

Customer Reviews
Not as detailed as the full sim city experience, but great for a mobile phone game. Good menu system allowing control of a wide variety of functions using the limited button set.
Not a huge amount of replay value, but I have probably spent 8 hours so far and have still not finished my first playthrough.
- John Foster 9/10
A very fun game that captures simcity quite well on the mobile. Building cities is very fun, but moving around can be a little repetitive. Does tend to get a little repetitive after a while, and balancing the objectives are quite easy.
- Christian Gu-Zhang 7/10
Good game but way to easy to finish for the price it is and free mode is not much fun as there is not much space.

Spore
Description
YOUR SPORE CREATURES ARE BACK & MORE EVOLVED THAN EVER! This innovative sequel to the award-winning Spore Origins has emerged from the ooze & onto solid ground. Pick up where you left off in an all-new game designed exclusively for your mobile device.
Attack or befriend other creatures & explore 12 exciting new levels. Collect body parts and adapt yourself to complete challenges. Modify your creature with the Creature Creator to optimize its evolution & take it to the TOP OF THE FOOD CHAIN!
Customer Reviews
I found the game a little too easy and too short. There is also no replay value, no extra game modes, like there was in spore origins. Overall I was disappointed with spore creatures... But the gameplay while brief is immersive. Not as good as spore origins was, but if you want something casual and aren't too bothered about replayability, it will keep you amused for a few hours...

Command and Conquer RED ALERT Mobile review from www.gamemobile.co.uk |

|
Command and Conquer RED ALERT Mobile
Description
EXPERIENCE REAL-TIME STRATEGY COMMAND & CONQUER ACTION AS THE OVER-THE-TOP ACTION OF RED ALERT ARRIVES ON YOUR PHONE!! FEATURING an exclusive storyline, you MUST choose TO Fight with the Soviet Armies for world domination or align with the American Allies to restore global peace. Attack & defend using classic UNITS like Kirov War Blimps and new units like the Paladin Tank.
Customer Reviews
Well, where to start with this one.
First with what I believe to be the weakest part of the game, and that's the sound. Apart from a few bangs and booms, not much to hear, so if you play, like I do usually without sound, you really won't be missing out.
Next, graphics. Obviously you aren't getting pc or ps3 levels of looks here! That said, what you do get are quite pretty looking visuals that are more than up to the job. You can quite clearly see what unit and building is what. Occasionally you get a unit lost behind a building, but you can get that on the full version! It is easy enough to get them back out though, due to the way you control the game.
Which leads me nicely on to - gameplay! If you are a fan of the original c&c games, and if you bought this I am guessing you are, you will - at first - be a little confused by it all. Stick with it, it does become clearer and is quite intuitive.
The learning curve starts fairly shallow, but becomes steep quite quickly.
All in all, a quality little game that I am yet to finish.
- Paul Haworth 8/10
I hav always been a fan of red alert since the first one for pc came out. This lives up to the standard and quality I hav come to expect from the command and conquer franchise. Although its on a tiny screen well worth the money.
- Anonymous Review 10/10
I played the pc version very often in the past. But with this mobile version I have even problems to get regular soldiers. The help does not provide a proper advice and I did not find any ideas on www. So i'm not really able to start playing it and giving it a bad note. Further more the big screen of the nokia e90 is not supported.

An unusual selection of solitaire games as well as the traditional ones you would expect, which I am really enjoying, particularly the poker solitaire. The outcome is not always inevitable which makes it even more challenging.
- Elenita Nicola 10/10
A really get value for your money and a good choice of card games. I enjoy playing party island solitaire. It is about time they are some games for the elder person.

Finesse your shots from tee to green and then out-putt the CPU to climb to the top of the leaderboard. Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 07 for your mobile – take your game on tour.
Customer Reviews
Definitely an upgrade from my previous 2005 version -- better graphics and more holes to play. Only complaint is difficulty figuring out how to navigate the swing action -- 2005 version seemed more user friendly, intuitive, and controllable. Still, I recommend this if you have enjoyed the tiger woods franchise games in the past.
- James Madden 9/10
This game is a massive disappointment. Having also bought and played vijay singh pro golf which is superb, this just felt pathetic. The screenshots shown do not reflect the game screens - it is not 3d as shown, but a 2d overhead display. Do not buy this game. You will be very disappointed.
- Edward Starkie 1/10
Control system is the worst I have come across, no way of telling how much power you apply to a shot, especially when putting on the green.

Customer Reviews
Ok game. Fair graphics, too easy to complete (i completed the career mode in about two hours).
Not as good as other rally games I have played.
- geraint ashley 4/10
Dreadful and dull with really poor feel for the road. Even graphics are stale... More effort was put on the intro and menus than on the game.

Super Puzzle Bobble NEW review from www.gamemobile.co.uk |
|
|
|
Super Puzzle Bobble NEW
Description
The original bubble-popping game is back with more action than ever! Join Brontosaurs Bub and Bob in this classic arcade puzzler. Get ready for non-stop action and new game modes as you launch balls from your cannon, matching the colours to make the bubbles disappear.
But be careful, you are going to have to avoid being squished as the endless cascade of bubbles threatens your existence. Taito and EA bring this legendary arcade game to your mobile. Colorful bubble bursting fun!
Customer Reviews
I have played - and loved - puzzle bobble on a variety of formats and was hoping this would be just as addictive. How unpleasantly surprised I was, then, that this did not live up to the name. I have played a similar game called bubble bash on the ku990 which had a progressive style of game with a gradual increase in difficulty, the ability to aim using the touch screen, alternative game styles, new bubble types and a host of other little features that just made their absence on puzzle bobble all the more apparent and frustrating. There are still the elements of puzzle bobble that made it so fun - but this is hugely disappointing in the light of other choices.
- Iain Meldrum 3/10
Brilliant game.... Could play this for hours ... And it has two play modes... Bargain!!! +++++.
- Christine Rogers 10/10
Super fun. Great colors. Great graphic quality. Super sound. A must buy.

Well, this is the legend of wrestling. Either you beleive in it, then go for it because this is the better westling you can get on your cellphone, or you don't (then you haven't to care at all).
The good: you can paly superstars the likes of shawn micheal, the undertaker and john cena or create your personal superstar of wrestling (customizing every single detail, from looks to physical stats and moves to finishing moves to ... Tatooos) and challenge them all (ah, well, I mean, maybe)
The bad: once you have defeated all the greatest once, replay value drops to zero just because "you have already done it". Your character will improve his skills everytime you win a match, your opponents (the superstars... I mean kane, rey mysterio etc. Ok?) ... Won't.
There is no reason to go for the championship a second time with the same character, you have to create another --- there's simply no way a character created by you that has won the title can lose it. (unless you do it intentionally).
- Sergio Truffo 8/10
Could've been better, but a lot of superstars in one little mobile game. Fine game.

Customer Reviews
I had a lot of fun with this - the trick shots - theyre a bit brain taxing - but good fun for when youre waiting around. The best fone snooker/pool game by far. Get this - you wont be dissapointed.
- carl 9/10
Very addictive and playable game. Enjoyable as you need to think things through and play for position. However, the opposition are pretty useless and it's far too easy to win. I've now hit a maximum break that kinds of wraps it up. The trick shots and challenges are a nice little extra. All in all a great game but needs skill levels to advance through.
- Kevin Hill 8/10
What can I say, one of the best snooker games i've ever played on mobile. The graphics are quality and the gameplay is fantastic! The best feature of this game is it's how long games last and you never get bored! I've had to buy a second battery for my phone because it just won't last! So all-in-all a brilliant game, the graphics are cool, especially when you change from 2d view into 3d view. 5*.

Need for Speed Undercover review from www.gamemobile.co.uk |
|
|
|
Need for Speed Undercover
Description
Rule the Streets in Need for Speed: Undercover. Hit the gas to race against ruthless gangs running an International crime ring. But watch your back. The thugz aren't your only enemies.
Win races to gain street cred and fill your garage with killer cars, like the Porsche 911. Reach the finish line first in circuit races. Bust up the city in bounty challenges. Show your skillz for a shot at gang leaders. Choose between Career or Quick Race mode. Brakes are optional in Need for Speed: Undercover.
Customer Reviews
I'd played the previous need for speed prostreet mobile and thought it was reasonably good. So naturally, I decided to try undercover out. I managed to download the game into my nokia 5800, which has an elongated hd landscape screen.
Graphics:
Strangely the nokia 5800 version has 2d visuals instead of 3d. The visuals are nice but not great. Maybe because of the large nokia 5800 screen, the cars look pretty small and lacks details. Backgrounds are beautifully drawn but the buildings that flashes by are boring, repetitive. I'd seen much better graphics and details in other racing games like aspalt 4 3d.
Gameplay:
This game isn't difficult to play using the nokia 5800 touchscreen display. You steer by pressing left and right icons located on both lower edges of the screen. Above the left button is brake, and above the right button is drift. At the lower center of the screen is your nitro boost. Frankly, i'd prefer button presses instead touchscreens but the 5800 isn't exactly built for gaming. Another thing to note is that difting in this game is quite a chore. When u press the drift button while negotiating a curve, a small bar appears in the middle of the screen. What you need to do is to balance the cursor in the bar by pressing left or right. You'll drift if you do it correctly but you'll concentrate on the bar so much that you won't notice an obstacle infront and crash into it. I can easily win a race without drifting at all. This makes drifting totally tedious and redundant.
Conclusion:
Undercover is decent at best and gameplay lacks fun and becomes overly repetitive.
- Ivan Chan 6/10
Hello, I buy the game with a great expectation, and I say that the game met it. The graphics are good, the speed of cars is fast, sound is realistic, levels are interesting and great cars. I adore this game. Thank you for sell it.
- Andrea Barquero Fernández 10/10
The game is good with differant types of races, good cars and easy to play. One thing that could be better is if the game was able to be played in landscape, also it would be cool if was available for motion control.
- Stefan McCabe 8/10

This port of xevious for the mobile world surely deserves some attention. Now you can have the same thrill you experienced back in the eighties. Very smooth action and the sharp graphics will keep you playing it over and over. Good luck with the mothership! This was not as I remember this game from the old atari version but was a very good attempt at this so I enjoyed it all the same and would recommend this to those who like old school games.
- uncle fester 8/10
True to the original and challenging but find it a bit repeditive after a while.

Customer Reviews
This is a great golf game! It offers simple controls for amateurs, yet provides options during play for more experienced players and true-blue golf fans.
This game kept me occupied through all 18 holes the first time I played it. And I only spent 30 seconds or so reading about the controls; that's how easy it is to pick up!
One grouse I do have about this game is that I am unable to see the lie (terrain?) of the green when I am lining up for a shot to the green, or even when I am putting. But otherwise, if one wanted to play against woods and other legends, this would be my top recommendation.
- Adam Tan 9/10
I've been looking for a 'proper' golf game for the f480 for some time, so had no hesitation in buying this one when it became available.
Positive points:
- gameplay similar to larger format golf games
- it's not too easy (esp. In the higher difficulty modes)
- graphics are good (esp. Ball flying through the air)
Negative points:
- only 2 courses (i wouldn't mind, but the start-up sequence suggests there are many courses in the game)
- you can't give a player your name (minor point)
- many putts are impossible to hole when putting up-hill. This is because every green slopes upwards from front to back - if you land your ball below the hole, no matter whether you have perfect line and 100% power most times the ball won't reach the hole. The answer, of course, is to try to land the ball beyond the hole on each green (which makes the game slightly less fun).
Overall, this is a very good mobile golf game and well worth the money.
- David Partington 8/10
Ok - this is my experience on my se w890i.
I've bought quite a few golf games on mobile over the years, and I have an older version of this (maybe 07) on my ancient motorola v3x which I was always impressed by, but this game goes much further. Ea have taken advantage of the newer phone, and now we've got two complete 18 hole courses, full animation from behind the ball, and customisable golfers on top of what was already a fantastic game. This is the best mobile golf game I have ever seen, by miles!
The only things i'd want to change would stop if being tiger woods pga tour, but it might be a better game if you had to train or practice to get better attributes, but this is the only way I can think of to improve this fantastic title.
If you only buy one game, buy this one.

The game is quite good, it might be better if you could click on the card instead of using the direction arrows, but saying that the graphics are quite good and the game play is simple, so it is quite a good mobile game.
- Marian Ellison 7/10
I am hapy to have this game. A lot of games and you can get new itens for you character as you play and earn points. So this game has a fine replay factor.
But it would be perfect if we could chat with other users...

Very good value, bought for my girlfriend and she plays hangman all the time and hasnt had the same question after 2 weeks, she also reckons the brain genius is very good. Shame the other games I bought from this site were impossible to download and they dont respond to emails.

Bejeweled Twist review from www.gamemobile.co.uk |
|
|
|
Bejeweled Twist
Description
Welcome to a brilliant new way to play Bejeweled! Get set for a vivid sensory rush as you spin and match explosive gems for shockwaves of fun. Rotate jewels freely to set up electrifying combos, outwit obstacles, and blast high-voltage gems. Rev up with a strategic challenge or just relax in the gem-spinning zone. Any way you play, you'll find endless ways to win!
Customer Reviews
Bejeweled twist does what it says on the tin. A twist on the well-loved classic, this new version gives more control over jewels and adds in some extras to spice things up like bomb jewels that you have to match within 15 seconds or it's game over!
The extra control over gems means that games never get to the "no more moves" state that cropped up in the original version all too often.
You can also play in "zen" mode, which essentially allows you to carry on forever as it has no bombs.
If you loved the original bejeweled, then you're going to love bejeweled twist. This comes highly recommended, so go get it!
- Matthew Johns 10/10
Great game! Not the typical "match 3" game. You have the control of where your matches will be. It's a very addictive game and I love playing it! Graphics are wow! Runs nice and smooth on my moto zn5. I would highly recommend this game for anyone!
- Sherry Hari 10/10
Have been playing this every day since I downloaded it, amazing how such a simple game can be so addictive.

|
|
|
Bargain!!! +++++.

I've always been a fan of the buzz games on playstation and this one does not disappoint. I like that you can redo levels to try get a better medal. (bronze to silver to gold.)
They've definitely got this one right, not too hard and not way too easy that it's boring.
- karen charlesworth 8/10
Fun, but there are a lot of games which need unlocking before you can play them.

Customer Reviews
The game has four characters (sonic/ tails/ knuckles/ amy), five events and takes a decidedly less realistic take on the 'games than the wii and ds versions do. There's discus, 1500m, triple jump, 400m hurdles and javelin. The throwing events give you the (almost comical) ability to control your discus/ javelin to an extent (as you would a glider) after your throw, making it avoid eggman balloons and collect rings. Uhh, yeah.
The running/ jumping events are fairly similar affairs, with your character running automatically and you hitting a button as they run over panels, with your button-press timing affecting their speed.
It's basically just a high-score contest, although the simple nature of most of the events mean that it's actually possible to perform 'perfectly' with relative ease, which somewhat defeats the purpose.
Surprisingly though, despite only being a pretty simple phone game, it's still got the official olympic license. The graphics are decent enough for what it is, with a nice bit of parallax scrolling thrown in for good measure (which I think was removed from the mobile conversions of sonic 1 and 2).
There's not a whole lot to do in here, but what little there is is incredibly polished and well put together.
- Mark Teo 7/10
I got this game in replace of hancock, which support was very helpful in dealing with and i’m glad I choose sonic. Anyway, in this game you play as sonic, tails, knuckles and amy. There are five major events you can master, which are discus, 1500 meters, triple jump, 400m hurdles and javelin. The controls are very easy to get the hang of but the easier you do the level the harder it gets. Overall completely worth it!
- Kylie Daws 10/10
Nothing like the wii or ds version, go for playman summer games instead as its more fun and playable.

"which of the following is an animal: bed, lamppost, dog, chair."
"which of these can you drink: wine, milk, bleach, cola."
if these are the kinds of question you find challenging then buy this game, but if you are over 3 years old, go with trivial pursuit. This one is aimed at very, very young children.

Customer Reviews
I wasn?Äôt expecting too much when I got this game but still purchased so as to feed my harry potter addiction?Ķ however, it?Äôs really quite playable, better than initial expectations.
7 levels in all which quite closely follow the films plot by adding dialogue during levels. Essentially it?Äôs more about timing, rather than logic or shoot-em-up type rpgs.... Wand battles and running through levels whilst avoiding obstacles, slytherins and death eaters?Ķ. So all in all it makes it quite playable and my biggest surprise is that i?Äôve played it again several times since I completed it, which is unusual as these types of games are normally very delete-able.
Biggest down fall has to be the lack of a high score table or a kill-count for longevity.
- Mervyn McCormack 9/10
This is a pretty good game. If you don't like hp, steer clear. The first few missions are all about sneaking about hogwarts and getting umbridge really pissed off. Then you teach the da how to kill people, before sneaking around hogwarts a bit more and finally kicking the crud out of a lot of death eaters. The sneaking works well, and the combat system is weirdly addictive. The final battle at the ministry of magic is the best part by far - you move around, and if you stand still you automatically cast a spell, but this requires a small time to charge up. This keeps you on your pixelated toes for a long time, and is great fun, as each playthrough of this level is always different. The music and sound is very good, but the major let-down is the graphics which are poor - ginny is brown haired and hermione red!
I'd give this game 7/10.
- David King 7/10
I think that this game is vey good. It has stunning graphics, especially for the nokia n-series.

It is a cool air hockey game. The only thing is that on the bottom of the screen, it is cut off so that you can't see your goal.
You can see the circle but not the actual goal itself.
Gameplay is fine.
Entertaining air hockey game.

This is a great golf game! It offers simple controls for amateurs, yet provides options during play for more experienced players and true-blue golf fans.

The only things i'd want to change would stop if being tiger woods pga tour, but it might be a better game if you had to train or practice to get better attributes, but this is the only way I can think of to improve this fantastic title.
If you only buy one game, buy this one.

Customer Reviews
I played the psp version of locoroco and was therefore interested in the mobile version. I'm pleased with the purchase! On my nokia 5800 screen, the graphics are viewed in it's "hd" glory. Though simple, the graphics are bright and colourful, animation was smooth and the characters stay true to the psp counterparts. The qualms I have with this game is that there's no sound effects in my version. Another thing is that I was alittle disappointed that there's no option to use the motion sensor. It would have been cool to tilt the phone so that characters roll accordingly. Instead, the developers used touch screen buttons instead. Anyway, the overall is pretty appealing and the developers had managed to capture the fun and soul of the original.

A new concept in mobile gaming. It will keep you company for long. Not recommended for impatient players.

Brilliant! The game downloaded succesfully, however internet charges apply . But i'm glad I brought it. Works perfectly and provides me with something fun to do insted of dying of bordem when I have to wait for people. Animations make the game work well and is great game. Buy it as soon as you can.
- Anonymous Review 10/10
Great game and animation. Even if you win a few times on the easy level you get the choise to more onto a harder level. Also you can change the options at the start of a new game like you can either opt to get no money if you pass go or change it so you receive more and if you land on ti you get double. You can also opt to start off with some property so you can start getting money of the other players straight away. Also you can play upto 4 players.
- Elisa Robson 8/10
Great game!!
Same as we were young and even more apgraded, because you can take anywhere and continu whenever you want.
***** very recommended for 5800.

Customer Reviews
Excellent graphics and a good range of courses. It requires patience to work through the first few levels to unlock the faster rally cars, as the first cars are rather slow and boring, but the later cars are a lot more fun.
Main criticism is that it is way too easy. I came first in every race on first attempt right through to the end, and that was just using my thumb on the d-pad. The other cars are so much slower than yours you are really just racing against yourself in a timetrial.
In summary, this game is prettier than competitor world rally championship, but that game is far more challenging. On balance, wrc is better than sega.
- Mark Robinson 7/10
Nice graphics and easy to pick up although the tracks are a tad long and repetitve for a 5 minute flutter on the bus. If you like racing games this will not disapoint but if you are looking for simple racing fun another game may better suit your tastes.
- James McFarlane 6/10
Disappointed with this game. On my se 850i, the graphics jump and the visuals are average, despite being in 3d. Lots to play, but again only for the avid racer. Typical "sega" title, you could pass this one up if short of pennies. Overall: average.

EA Cricket 10
Description
Practice in the nets and hone your skills. Choose to play the one day international game or compete on the world stage in tournament mode.
Take up the three challenges of Cricket 101, The Art Of Cricket or Heroes, and then use your new found skills to smash it for six and bowl out the opposition with EA Cricket 10 on your mobile.
Customer Reviews
If you love the game or are wondering what it is all about this is a good place to go for some excitement on the pitch.
Lots of teams, lots of players with a variety of strengths and weaknesses give you a wide gamut on the field.
The play interface is easy to master and facilitates rather than gets in the way of enjoying the game. Bowling, batting, running and fielding each have their own tricks to master but once you've learned the basic skills you can go in with confidence and play your heart out.
- Robert Chambers 9/10
Good fun, but some of the cricket rules are not implemented in the game.

My only complaint is the lack of 8 way movement, when it gets all crazy - it difficult to work out exactly who you can and can't fire at. The game gets around this will very goiod level progression and by level 6 you're an expert at controling kyle reese. Overall terminator is a good cell phone game and I also recomend this site to anyone, great prices and easy downloads.

Absolutely fantastic, loads of levels, different game settings, quite possibly one of the best games ive ever played on mobile.

Customer Reviews
The graphics in this game really capture the mood of the console games, but there isn't much of a plot to it; three people are drawn to visit the orphanage where they grew up, and get caught up in a series of horrific supernatural events. Unfortunately, we never find out much about the characters, or anything about why they're at the orphanage. The game ends (rather quickly) with a hint that some of this may be revealed in the sequel.
The player controls the game by moving a "hand" cursor (which automatically switches to a "target" cursor when an enemy is present) around the screen, and pressing an action button. This wouldn't bee so bad if it weren't for the continual back-and-forth you're forced into as you run around the orphanage to solve "puzzles", which really shows up the limitations of this control scheme. Dedicated movement keys or a rearranged level layout with a more linear geographical progression (to match the puzzles) would be an improvement.
Sound is limited to a few notes on the title screen and the occasional sound effect, but I don't find that surprising in a mobile 'phone game.
Overall, I would have to say that you should probably avoid this game unless you're a die-hard silent hill fan like me, and even then you may want to think twice.
- Christopher McGuire 6/10
Once I surfed around the web and stopped in wikipedia, and caught myself reading about silent hill again. But this time was different - I noticed this article - silent hill mobile or silent hill: orphan. I was wondering - what the heck is it?
Up to this point I had completed every silent hill game, except origins, multiple times. So, I was open-minded to get something experimentally familiar. Of course - soon I found out what this article is about, and purchased this ambitious peace of software for my nokia 6630 while I was at work.
I think, that it is useless to say, how much I wanted my workday to finish as soon as possible, hehe.
Then I was at home finally and started to immerse myself again into the deep universe of silent hill.
1)
The first disappointment was the programming language, used to create this game. Java - very limited stuff, I think. But, widely usable - about in every handset with color screen. Soon I accepted, that java was chosen because of this availability, perhaps, and continued to explore this familiar orphanage where terrible things happened.
2)
I had to get used to the archaic pint-n-click game-play mechanics. But this wasn't a problem. These mechanics took me back to the old days - the beginning of post-golden era of video-gaming - to the nineties, which is a great accomplishment for a modern game.
3)
The only thing I haven't really accepted is the audio in this game. No akira yamaoka. Useless beeps in midi instead. But again - I understood, that this is due to programming language and total size of game (install file weighed 466, 5 kb). Akira's score would just make that size ten times, or even larger - much too much for gprs download, perhaps.
But, I managed to accept all these limitations and soon I was totally in this game.
I enjoyed the classic feel, enjoyed the visuals, which easily could be described as a form of art, I enjoyed puzzles and environments, atmosphere in general. I enjoyed the story too, of course.
And here I first met the controllable shifting to otherworld, which fitted in this game, unlike in silent hill: origins.
In fact - this is the only one in java programmed game for cellphones, which I completed and enjoyed. Guilty pleasure.
This alone can be put as measure of overall quality of this game.
Even more - this edition of silent hill managed to deliver some creeps and chills - amazing achievement, considering the aforementioned limitations.
Yes, I do absolutely recommend this game to every silent hill veteran out there, such as myself. Of course - this isn't the regular, full length silent hill game. But sometimes it is nice to get your hands on that same, well known soul, but with another face. And this surely is the case.
- Ivo Stunga 9/10
I wouldn't normally review a game I haven't finished, but i've had this one long enough now to form an opinion, even if I haven't completed it.
It's atmospheric, compelling, beautifully styled and very creepy. The storytelling is nice and it does a good job of representing the world of silent hill - even if it is all done as a near-static sequence of sepia pictures on which you just click on whatever it is that you want to activate.
The one massive, fundamental drawback of the game is that it is just too difficult. You often don't know what you're supposed to be doing, and it is hard to see what it is that you're supposed to be activating, but if you just want a taste of silent hill while you're waiting for the bus, you could do worse than this.

What a great game!! A very simple idea and incredibly addictive. Each level is well designed and the controls are simplicity itself. This game is not as easy as it first seems and you may be forced to push your 'forward thinking' abilities to the limit!! Enjoy!!
- Ian Hill 9/10
Superbly playable with good graphics, and a game that gets under your skin very quickly. Each level takes a few moments thought to plan a strategy, which is where the fun lies - in it's strategy.
Levels can be saved to return to later - a nice touch.
Good for the money, and recommended.

Worms 2008 review from www.gamemobile.co.uk |
|
|
|
Worms 2008
Description
One of the all-time biggest selling mobile games returns, and this time the Worms are taking the destruction to the Final Frontier! Take your squad of worms, arm yourself with some of the wackiest weapons available and blast your opponent to tiny little Worm pieces!
With more worms, more weapons, hugely improved graphics, and now with a whole range of minigames to play out your space age worm battles. New recruits and fans of the original won't be disappointed!
Customer Reviews
What a blast! Okay, the game takes some getting used to, being played on an eensy-weensy screen. However, for fans of the worms franchise, this is a great game to have in your phone, for those times when you are tired of waiting and some cute virtual violence is a good solution to vent your stress. The range of weapons is good and the adaptation works surprisingly well on the handheld.

A complete worms title for your mobile. Numerous weapons, randomized terrains, and up to 4 players. Unfortunately, ai is pathetic (extremely slow and simple). I only choose to play against myself which is more than i'll ever need. If you've ever played worms on your pc, you'll absolutely love it for your mobile!
- Michael Ruf 8/10
After the massive disappointment that Worms 2006 was, I bought this one with trepidation. On firing it up, you can see it was made by THQ Wireless, who made Worms Crazy Golf. This was a good fun game, and played on its simplicity which was definitely one of its strengths. That had to be a good start.
On first play, I was suitably impressed. Decent selection of weapons with no Banana Bomb in sight! Easy enough controls too. However, after playing a few times, the huge list of bugs in this game starts to rear its ugly head!
Things like Cluster Frags just disappearing rather than exploding, sometimes having your go completely skipped over, health packs not actually changing your health? And I could go on. The list is actually quite extensive when you start to write it down!
The computer?s AI is also very limited, sticking to Bazookas and Cluster Frags mostly, with the odd foray into a standard Grenade or two. Also if the wind isn?t in just the right position to pull off what it deems the right shot, the computer will just sit there for the full 60 seconds rather than skipping its go. This can get very tedious after a while/
It?s also not very bright, having no sense of self preservation. You could literally win this game by positioning all your worms next to the computer?s worms and then watching it blow itself up trying to kill yours.
Short version - This could have been a great game, but was nowhere near ready for release. I would rather have waited for a finished Worms 2009 than getting this game now in its current state.
However, if you just stick to trading bazookas, you can get a good few games out of this, so despite the unfinished state of the game, it is still a huge step in the right direction after Worms 2006.

Customer Reviews
A very good and realistic martial arts game. All the fighters have strengths and weaknesses related to their background and style of combat, and your character (initially, bruce lee) is forced to change his tactics for every opponent, if he wants to win. Excellent graphics. This could qualify for the best mobile martial arts game imho... (assuming you were not looking for dragonball z-style) ;-).
- Sergio Truffo 8/10
I just bought and download this game after reviewing the graphics animation online. I didn't think the graphics and game would be that smooth but I thought wrong! I love bruce lee and I love this game. Fantastic!

Lemmings Tribes review from www.gamemobile.co.uk |

Lemmings Tribes
Description
Since their first appearance in 1991, Lemmings have won the hearts of millions with their cute and adorable persona. And now they are back in this classic game of Lemmings Tribes an ultimate real-time mobile puzzle game based on the original Lemmings franchise. The aim is to save a set number of Lemmings within a specified time limit on a number of levels filled with devious traps and gaps. This requires a combination of skills from logic to problem solving that will lead to an amazing gaming experience. The Lemmings are from three different tribes: Classic Lemmings that only have access to their original skills whereas the other two tribes, Space Lemmings and Medieval Lemmings have access to new and specific skills, which allows more variety and enhanced gameplay. Be the chief…and save the tribes!

Brilliant!! I was always a fan of lemmings and this is a very good version although not nearly enough levels. The medieval and space levels are cool with different skills to learn how to use. Does play slowly on my 5310 and had to start again to get some levels to load at all, but overall very good!!
- Yvonne Haworth 10/10
As a fan of the classic lemmings game I wanted to find lemmings for my touch screen phone. Unfortunately I could not manage to find the classic version anywhere, but instead stumbled across lemmings tribes in the process of my futile search. I read a few reviews on the game and it looked a lot to my liking. It generally was a very good game other than the length of it. The only thing preventing me from scoring the game higher is that there weren't enough levels to keep me occupied for a longer period of time.
However, that is only a small issue. The game has three different "modes," so to speak. These are classic, medieval and future. The lemmings in each mode have different abilities opening up newer challenges that weren't possible in the original game.
The game is fairly simple to finish, but is made more challenging by requesting that you save the optimum number of lemmings in each level. Attempting to do this on some of the levels is fiendishly difficult.
Overall lemmings tribes was a very fun game while it lasted. I just wish it had lasted a lot longer. Very worth spending your hard earned money on.
- Anonymous Review 7/10
Ahh lemmings, the 16-bit classic. I've even got versions for my old acorn electron, the most underpowered of the colour 8-bit computers from the 1980's so surely a mobile conversion should be a doddle. All you really have to do is make sure that the user can select lemmings easily, and you're onto a sure-fire winner. And you can. The control system is really nice, with 8-way scrolling and softkeys for function selection. This version of lemmings also introduces some new graphical themes. You can play with medieval lemmings and space lemmings, each with their own graphics and take on the game. This game is graphically beautiful.
Unfortunately, thats all the good things about this game. The reality is that my acorn electron has a better version of lemmings than this game. It's main problem is that it is very, very slow. My electron has is quicker than this game. My electron is 28 years old, my phone is last years model (se 890i)). There is no excuse for how slowly this game executes. Even when you put it in fast-forward, then the lemmings barely move faster than a morris minor on tamazepam.
Finally, at various point in the game, the screen blinks on and off. No warnings, no reason, just goes completely off, and then back on again, usually when you've trying to save a lemming. This is absolute madness on the part of developers glu - it utterly ruins the game, and leaves what should be a simple conversion for a #1 game a shambles and an complete waste of your money.

Very good game I thought it was very much like the the classic siberian strike but the graphics where much better I would reccommend this game.

This game was lots of fun, but a bit on the short side and repetitive. The "canyon" levels could've been better.

The game is fun, lot of action and many flight time, but is not a multiplayer

Customer Reviews
Good for the money - graphics above average but a bit repetitive. :-) I could do with smaller fingers when trying some of the moves that require quick responses between key choices on the keypad (climbing some walls and avoiding rock falls etc) of my n95 8gb - that's not so much the fault of the game, just my fingers!
Nice game - much better than the tr anniversary offering! Worth a few quid!
- Chris Bews 8/10
Excellant graphics, controls and user interface are very easy to learn and overall game play is great reccommended for hours of fun enjoy.
- Patrick Salmon 9/10
Wow - welcome to disappointment central.
It must be because i've bought a rubbish phone (se w890i), but then I look at the modern wonder which is tiger woods 08 and I wonder why other games can't match this.
This is tomb raider, the 3d game! Except that it isn't on an se w890i. I know that the game description says that graphics can vary with handset, but I expected that the production company would have been able to support my handset in 3d in the way that tiger woods is.
On my phone, this is a 2d sideways scroller with some mini-games. As far as that genre goes, its a pretty decent example. Nice animation, nice and quick, and (at least initally) interesting mini games.
But it isn't the game I wanted. It isn't the 3d experience I know that my phone is capable of.
All of you with supported 3d phones, then i'm jealous. If you are the producer of this, then i'm disappointed.

NBA Live 08
Description
Slam-dunk NBA action! Real teams, real players, real NBA intensity. It's easy to pick up and play as your favourite team. Hit the court for one game or a thrilling season. Control offence and defence, make highlight reel moves – thundering slam dunks, driving lay-ups, and in-your-face blocks.
Hit a three-pointer at the buzzer to win the NBA championship, then enjoy the instant replay of your game-winner. Hit the court now!
Customer Reviews
To me nba live 08 is in the 2d version (as sold here on gamemobile) is a complete waste of money. The playability could be much better and more fluent - not to talk of the very old-fashioned 2d sprites scuttering across the screen. Ea mobile has done a very bad attempt in porting a basketball game onto cellphones (as they have done the years before). There are many other games out there (especially kobe bryant basketball from gameloft) which provide much longer fun to play!

Great game! Rookie and amateur are easy. Once you win the amateur tournament you unlock the pro level. This is more realistic in that if you don't make shots the opponent can rack up big breaks and beat you. Only improvement would be the ability to unlock more opponents once reaching the pro level. Really enjoyable and highly recommended snooker game.
- Anthony Leben 8/10
Superb game! Fantastic graphics, realistic ball behaviour and varying degrees of opponent skill levels. The time limit on shots in premier league mode adds an extra level of difficulty and makes you think fast. Only downside is the game's inability to 'mask' part of the balls when they're against a cushion but that doesn't spoil the game at all. Anyone who likes snooker simply must get this game!
- geraint ashley 10/10
Best snooker game so far that I have come across for mobile

Rainbow islands
Description
The original platform adventure game is back! Join Bubby in this arcade classic, faithfully recreated for your mobile. The sequel to Taito's hit game Bubble Bobble, Rainbow Islands packs in tons of vertical fun.
Help Bubby climb and jump from rainbow to rainbow. But be careful, you are going to have to beat enemies and reach the top before the rising water level gets you. Taito and EA bring this legendary arcade game to your mobile. The original and still the best!
Customer Reviews
For a mobile version of this classic game it's not bad at all. Pretty much all the original features are there. The only problem with this game is the ropey collision detection. You have to hit objects dead centre in order to collect them. If you're a fan of the original (like me) you'll probably find it a bit annoying. That said, it's still a decent timekiller.

If you like time management games, you'll like this game. The only down side (as with every mobile game) is that there aren't enough levels. There are 2 locations with 20 levels in each but you soon find yourself zipping through them!

It took me less than an hour to complete the whole game. Enough said?
I was hoping for some cool mini-games, some roleplay, but there was none of the above. The graphic was rubbish (i ahve seen better in the 90's), and the mini-games were so unimaginative I really don't think I will touch them ever again.
I doubt even the ten-year-old wag wannabes are impressed.

Customer Reviews
It is a good game for a while, quite a fun concept and easy to play. Can get a bit repetitive and dull, as the landscapes differ little. I'd go for another golf game instead, perhaps the new open one.

Customer Reviews
This game is akin to a slow torturous death. The programmers spent lots of time making great graphics, and completely forgot about gameplay or game testing. It's very very unresponsive and collision detection is all but non-existent. I would recommend getting one of the prince of persia series instead to see how a platformer should be made. In the case of this game, the ?Ǭ£4.00 would have been much better spent buying a rusty fork to stick in my eyes. Steer well clear. - not impressed eh? - ed.

Great game once you get into it. Bit hard to control at first but overall its good.

Customer Reviews
I bought this after playing with the yahoo pipes widget. Has made me so, so impressed with pipemania. Variety & ease of use of this I am so so happy with. Difficulty and variety of ways to build the pipes etc increases together at a good pace to not be boring but not jump to the impossible after a few screens. Still playing & still keeping my usually short term interest.
- Annette Kelly-Roberts 10/10
Its not as good as I thought it would be. You only have to use the amount of pipes stated to win . You dont need to connect it to the end pipe until you have played the game a while. I found it a bit slow and tedious.
- melanie taylor 3/10
Avoided many hours of boredom during my daily commute with thia game. Faithful reproduction of the original I played years ago.

I played his years back on my atari 800xl, and I didn't though it would get a comeback.
Was one of my most liked games and this one on the mobile phone plays exactly like the original!
Really good game!
- SPIDER-MAN _from_Austria 10/10
Ok "a perfect adaptation of the great archon" ;-) good explanation for those who already played it. Now, for those who didn't happen to owe a commodore amiga 1000 back in the 80's, here's the catch: you play a game on a chessboard, with 16 "units"(pieces) to move just like you do in a chess game. The main difference is that every time you (or your opponent) try to catch a unit, the screen switches to a 2-dimensional arena where the two units do battle in real time. Each side (the light and the darkness) has different units: some of them fire lightnings, some throw huge stones, some just wield swords. Some fly, some teleport, some just walk. The leaders of each side can cast spells to imprison, revive or summon units. This makes the game a wonderful mix of strategy and action. The game does not work exactly like the original. Some creatures operate slightly differently, which, imho, is an added bonus (i was initially worried about finding the game boring, since I played it so many times already on my pc). A must have for all chess-variants addicted!

Mr. Schizoo review from www.gamemobile.co.uk |
|
|
|
Mr. Schizoo
Description
Mr. Schizoo is a member of the Schizooferrets species which were supposed to extinct in the Dinosaur's Era. Somehow the species managed to survive over the centuries, hidden deeply in a wild jungle on the planet Bombadoo. But now, the shadow is upon it again, and its survival is threatened! The last female Schizooferret (Mrs. Shizula, first seen in Bubu: The Great Escape game) was captured by poachers wanting to earn a fortune on her precious fur.
Mr. Schizoo goes into action! There is a long way before him, full of enemies, traps and dangerous passages. But it is too late to go back! The life of his female and the survival of his species are now in his hands!
The game Mr. Schizoo features the most advanced and colorful graphics ever witnessed in platform java game. First in the long list of novelties is multi-dimensional background.
Well known effect from computers, have now been transferred into the mobile world. This effect gives the player the sense of 3D and greatly contributes to the visual attractiveness of the game. The second feature are excellent animations of all creatures present in game as well as the variety of actions. For example Mr. Shizoo can eliminate enemies in three different ways: by jumping on them, by trownig a snailshell on them or by curling. Also the enemies are much differentiated. Some of them may be destroyed only in one particular way.
Let us take you into the breathtaking world of Mr.Shizoo!

Enter a new dimension with your Vaus vessel and test your skills on 99 tantalizing levels of classic arcade block-busting action. Whether you were there first time around or just love retro, this is the original and still the best!
Customer Reviews
This classic remake is pretty good. Level 98 was pretty frustrating, but after countless hours I managed to complete it and the entire game (99 levels).
You get a great deal of value for money here. Graphics is nice, nothing too fancy. The speed is good, only experienced lag a few times. Whenever you die, you're allowed to start from any of the levels you've unlocked instead of having to start over.
The various power-ups you can get is a bit confusing at first, but once you get into the help text and see what each one is about, it's pretty straight forward and easy to remember.
All in all a good game that is guaranteed to keep you entertained for many hours.
It only gets an 8 from me due to lack of alternative game modes. Once the game is completed, all there is left really is to beat your highscore. More game modes would have been nice.
- Uffe Fey Madsen 8/10
Good fun! A classic game, very playable, where you move a bat left and right at the bottom of a screen to bounce a ball off the bricks at the top, eventually destroying them all. The game keeps your interest by giving you bonus items that can power-up your bat and give it special features (laser gun for example.) great to while-away a boring journey. My only criticism is that my copy seems to be stuck on level 13 - no matter how many levels I pass after that, next time I play I have to start from 13 again. (and level 13 isn't even a very enjoyable level!).
- Alex Curtis 8/10
Ok game. Could be more rounds and maybe a save progress feature though that would probably make it too easy and you'd complete the game far too fast. Otherwise a good time filler. Easy controls, un-complicated fun.

Customer Reviews
I was determined to like this game. I'm old enough to remember hypersports and track & field the first time around, so I was really interested in playing this. First impressions we're good. This feels like a polished title, with lovely graphics.
The game is a collection of 10 mini games, ranging in difficulty and interest. At one end is the very boring and easy fencing game, where you have to get 15 hits on your opponent. At the other end is the challenging gymnastics event, where you have to press the right key on your phone at the right time.
The problem with this game is balance. Most of the events are too easy, or too difficult, particularly on the hard level. Equestrian is a case in point - pitfully easy on the easiet setting, impossible on the hardest.
As a complete game of ten events, then you've got variety, but not enough to actually provide playability. Its all too boring, too short and lacks any replayability.
And the sound is dreadful.
Overall, its difficult to recommend this game when your fiver will be much better spent elsewhere.

Not as detailed as the full sim city experience, but great for a mobile phone game. Good menu system allowing control of a wide variety of functions using the limited button set.
Not a huge amount of replay value, but I have probably spent 8 hours so far and have still not finished my first playthrough.

Customer Reviews
I have tried playing this on the 5800, and it is ok, but relies on onscreen controls that are not highly responsive. I would recommend this game only for people who really want to relive the sonic experience. It is a good quality game, just the packaging for the 5800 is not executed well.
- Dylan Tusler 4/10
The game is I wanted for a long time as it is a classic but when I got it on the samsung omnia as it really is unplayable as I now have it on my samsung tocco which is just as bad. It may work well on a mobile with proper buttons but not on a touchscreen. Hope this is useful to you all.
- Colin Murphy 5/10
I love this game but it is difficult to control with the tiny keypad shown on the touchscreen.

Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 09 review from www.gamemobile.co.uk |

Description

Bringing an unprecedented level of authenticity and game features, this is the must have golf game for both seasoned vets and first time players. Do you have what it takes to become a golfing legend?

Create and customize your Sims appearance and personality, then take your Sims out of the house and into the neighborhood with all new gameplay. Make their world your own!
Customer Reviews
This is by far the best sims game I have played on a mobile. The graphics are clear and the gameplay is fun and involving.
In the sims 3 you start by choosing what your character will look like and decide on your traits and persona which will shape your game objectives.
Like in other games you'll have to furnish your house with better items, make friends and get a job but the best addition to this game is the fun skill-building mini-games which makes for a nice change of pace after balancing your sims needs and fulfilling their wishes.
- Suzanne Fisher 10/10
I am addicted to this game. I love it. I make sure I play it for a couple hours each day. The lifestyle is as close as real can get for a mobile game. From kicking over trashcans to slapping people.. From flirting to making whoopi!. Haha its really good and I would recommend it to anyone!
- Pearl Anthony 10/10
As a true newbie to the world of sims I thoroughly enjoy playing this game. I'm really happy that my phones touch screen can cope with the fiddly movement in catching fish and boiling pans.
I took a while to realise what and where to go and do.
*very addictive* spent chunks of days off just getting into the next week. Love the hints, the monkey one had me puzzled for weeks until a monkey had me!!
Well worth the money, even better if , like myself used my loyalty credits.

The game plays just like the arcade - which is good. The sound appears to be out of sync sometimes, but it could be my phone (se k850i). Otherwise, a faithful adaptation that is fun to play.

The game is fun, but too short. You only get to bat just a little while and match is won. Normally you have 10 overs with 4 wickets in hand and 20-40 runs needed, too easy. A longer full game option to score 200 runs would be nice.

Another great game from the silent hill series. It is difficult enough to keep you amused but not too long that you get bored. Better controls than the previous incarnation. Looking forward to the next (final?) episode.
- robin shields 9/10
I enjoyed playing the original silent hill on my ps1 when it first came out. Very atmospheric and full of tricky puzzles. Silent hill 2 lives up to the original - obviously being a mobile game, the gameplay is slightly cut down, but it's still very atmospheric, and full of fiendishly difficult puzzles. Some of which are obvious in hindsight, some of the others though, must have come from a particularly twisted mind! A very enjoyable game, but quite tricky in places - thank goodness for walkthroughs posted on the web!
Great graphics, simple to play and pretty quick loading and moving around - definitely one to get!
- Matthew Johns 9/10
I've just finished the game. Its amazing! Far better than the first one. I mean the controls are much better and the graphics too. But so far we don't know so much about the story. I hope the third one will clear the clouds in my mind!

Customer Reviews
Graphics pretty good and game play smooth but the game is restricted in terms of player movement, which causes boredom too easily. Not many player options available and you tend to find yourself running straight at the opposition. One major frustration is that you cannot angle players when running so you are always running in a straight line. If the developers would have allowed for player movement the game would be far far better, maybe a 9/10. A reasonably good game but too restricted in what you can do.
- Phil Huggins 9/10
If you are a toddler you may enjoy this game for longer than 5 mins, otherwise I seriously doubt it.
For any serious rugby fan this game is a tragedy. You can't take a drop goal, there are no line-outs, you can't move players anywhere other than a straight line and player attributes do not vary.
All this = extremely poor playability.
Yes, the graphics are good and the atmosphere decent but that won't make a game. A sports game has to be playable and this lacks just about everything you need to make a rugby game special. What makes this especially annoying is the fact they could easily have added in the lacking elements and produced a much better effort.
So come on developers, produce a rugby game that has all the above, make it 100k larger and you will have a game to be proud of.
I mean did anyone seriously have the patience to sit through an entire 6 nations championship, with the same boring scores being gained over and over.
Far too easy, terrible playability and basically complete rubbish. Avoid at all costs.
- Adam Aherne-Conroy 1/10
Pretty dire really not much control just going through the motions.

MONOPOLY DEAL review from www.gamemobile.co.uk |
|
|
|
MONOPOLY DEAL
Description
Play the fastest, most action-packed MONOPOLY to date, this time with only cards! EA brings MONOPOLY's new card game to mobile. Collect 3 complete property sets, but beware Debt Collectors, Forced Deals and the dreaded Deal Breakers, which could change your fortunes at any time!
Featuring exclusive house rules and extra cards, not to mention unlockable cards to keep the excitement rolling in the deal making fun.
Customer Reviews
There's a tendency among board-game snobs to look down on monopoly. It's simplistic, long-winded, heavily based on luck, and has problems with a runaway leader eventually winning a boring and drawn-out game. Monopoly deal addresses most of these problems by turning the traditional board-game into a fast-paced card game, with plenty of potential for quick turnarounds and sneaky victories.
Plenty of the old monopoly staples are still present. You still build sets of properties, and improve them with houses and hotels. You still build up supplies of monopoly money to pay rents, birthday presents, and taxes. But instead of a plodding progression around the board, these are driven by the play of cards. Each player in turn gets to play three cards, which allow them to obtain properties, add money to their stash, or charge the other players rent on the properties they already own. In addition, there a range of actions for stealing properties from other players, collecting debts, getting new cards, and so on.
To win the game, you need to collect three full sets of properties. With luck, this can be managed quite quickly - in theory, you could even do it in your first turn in a three-player game, though most games tend to go on quite a while longer than that. But never too long - this is very much a five-minute pick-up-and-play title. Don't have five minutes, or finding a game going on longer? That's fine too, as you can quit the game and continue exactly where you left off at any point.
The game does still have a large element of luck to it, but that isn't necessarily a bad thing in such a fast-paced title. Sometimes you just won't get the cards you need, but the game's over so quickly that you can jump straight into another round, and hope for better cards the next time round. And unlike some games where luck plays a large part, it's difficult to feel hard done by when the opposing players steal your carefully collected property sets to steal victory from you. It's all just part of the fun of the game.
There's a fairly short 'story mode' to the game, pitting you against increasing numbers of increasingly skilled opponents so that you can learn the ropes. There's also a quick start, which sets up a random game, or a custom game option where you can choose the rules and players. You can also play with two human players through the 'pass & play' mode, which tells you when to pass the phone to the other player. Replay value is increased by a series of achievements for everything from pulling in a small fortune from a single rent to completing each stage of the story.
Unfortunately the game's somewhat let down by the technical side of things. There are bugs in the game that quite often cause properties to fail to be counted in their sets (leaving you needing four properties of that colour rather than three), or prevent the 'advance to go' card from working at all. On a couple of occasions it's just hung mid-game for me. But again, in such a fast-paced game this doesn't much matter. It's so much fun in the games where it does work that it's easy to forgive it the occasional technical glitch.
At the end of the day, monopoly deal has taken over as the game that I play when i've got a few minutes to kill. It's easy to play, hectic fun, and one of the best card games to make its way to the mobile format. A few minor technical irritations take the edge off the experience, but don't stop it from being a good buy, and i'll probably end up picking up the card version of the game on the strength of the mobile version.
- ADRIAN JACKSON 8/10
Easy to play.
Every game is different.
Can't stop playing this.
Love it.
- PAUL KELLY 10/10
I like the game, it is interesting and a totally new way to play monopoly. The only thing negative about the game is that it's simply too easy and short, even when setting it to the difficult level.

Intriguing role play simulation game. You are stranded on an island following a boat capsising along with some fellow passengers. Interacting with the other characters you have to find ways to survive on the island and try to find a way home.
Not all is as it seems with your fellow passengers and although you all have to work together to survive some may have ulterior motives. Its upto you to work out who can be trusted and who cant, whilst adapting to your new home.
Different challenges await you such as learning to fish or catch birds, plant seeds and create shelters etc
A good game for wasting some time on journeys or waiting for someone and easy to put down and pick up again.

Love the music!
Flying the enterprise and shooting klingons... What could be more fun?
- Felipe Arevalo 9/10
It's a great game, but parts of it are ridiculously hard due to the input mechanisms.
- Tony Sergi 9/10
Game is too hard with only 3 tries. Pick something else to buy.

Phantom Solitaire review from www.gamemobile.co.uk |
|
|
|
Phantom Solitaire
Description
The most popular solitaire game, sometimes known as Klondike. Includes 4 different Halloween themes. The object of the game is to build up four suit piles, starting with the Ace of each suit and ending with the King.
The table consists of seven stacks of cards. The rest of the cards form a deck, from which three cards are turned over at a time. Cards can be stacked on the seven upturned cards in descending order, but only cards of the opposite color can be stacked on top of each other. If at some point there is a blank space in one of the seven stacks on the table, the space can be filled by a King.
When three cards are turned over from the deck, the top card can be played on either the seven table stacks or the four suit stacks. Once the top card of the turned over deck pile gets played, then the card directly underneath can be played.
The game is won when all the cards can be stacked on top of the four suit stacks.
2: scroll up a stack of cards
4: left
6: right
8: scroll down a stack of cards
#: select cards to move and move them OR turn over three cards from the deck pile
*: find the best move
5: stop card(s) from flashing

Love it! At first I thought it wasn't going to be 'all that' but towards the end it does get very difficult and you have to be very careful on choosing which block to take out. You also get awards on this game which can be challenging and fun. Overall worth the buy if you're a fan of this old-time classic game!
- Kylie Daws 10/10
Pretty cool, at first I thought this wouldn't work as a mobile game, but it is actually addictive and fun to play, and the interface is done really well.
- Richard Cuthbertson 8/10
Addicting game, but difficult to play with the touch screen of the f480.

Customer Reviews
The 2007 - 2008 version is the best and most advanced version of this game so far. Excellent quality graphics and easy to use controls make this probably the best cricket game currently available. Very useful tutorials as well. A huge improvement on the 2006 - 2007 version which was a bit complicated and was a bit shaky in places. If you like cricket, you'll love this game.
- Danny Verrall 9/10
I've reviewed this title on a sony ericsson w890i, but I am beginning to think that my ancient motorola v3x is a better games phone.
I'm quite a fan of michael vaughan 06. I liked the format, the controls, the 'believability' that i've hit that ball for six. All in all it was a very satisfying game which led me to spending many many hours playing it, so I was looking forward to 07/08 and seeing what improvements could be made. Now, whilst I agree that 06 was too easy, this was not the way i'd have fixed it.
First impressions are that there have only been small changes. The way the game works is broadly similar. There are some new bowling options (switching whether you are going over or round the wicket, and how close to the stumps you want to bowl from) but more or less everything else seemed to be very similar.
Except for playability. Looking at it again, i'm beginning to wonder if these graphics have been done in 3d. If so, they need to get some of the 3d routines from tiger woods, because all of the graphics in this are now slow. This means that timing the ball properly is virtually impossible. When you're bowling, then the direction is more or less random.
Which is a massive shame actually. There are a plethora of cricket games for mobile, and most of them are rubbisj. Mv06 shone like a gem amongst them, but this upgrade was unplayable and has left me disappointed and unconvinced that I will pay for their next version.
- Samuel Pickard 3/10
This game is poor. Graphics are not good. While batting, for eg; if ganguly is batting, the run displays in rohit sharma place instead of ganguly's place. Even the bowling option is not good. Options for fielding settings are very bad. Not proper options are given. Pls try to develop a good match. I appreciate earlier match of michael vaughan, ie 2006/2007. It was far far better than the present one (2007/200 .

I love this game :-) it's fun and relaxing in a strange way. It also has great replay value as you can design endless combinations of parks to suit your desires or if you are feeling nasty you can always build a dead end road and trap the little cave people >:-).

|
|
|

Customer Reviews
Ok, this is a really cool game, that is a lot of fun, and seems to have good replayability, which is also great. However, it is not a true 5800 version of the game, and depends on you using onscreen controls that take up half the screen. In addition, I have had frequent crashes when loading a new level with it. You don't lose your progress, but you have to exit and re-load the game, (this may be better with the newer 5800 firmware, but I report on my experience.)
Also, don't bother with the vibration in the game, it is worse than useless.
On the plus side, control responsiveness is good, and as I said, it is actually a pretty cool puzzler that is fun to play. Just don't expect something tailored for the 5800.
- Dylan Tusler 6/10
This game was fun. Its exactly like the arcade game. Great game to play to play when your bored and kill time. Nokia 5800 version reviewed.
- Raquel Abrunho 9/10
Good to start but no variety and each level has the same difficulty so becomes boring. Wouldnt recommend for this reason.

War Diary: Torpedo features also changing weather conditions.
Customer Reviews
Someone wrote (in a review of war diary) that it's a realistic sim. It isn't. At all. But, it's certainly fun though! It'd be even better if you could save mid-mission (so prepare to lose your progress if you need to quit before finishing a main task) but otherwise the gameplay is addictive, and the music is pretty good too... So time tends to fly when you're playing it. Another thing that helps the game a great deal is the mini-3d(ish) view at the bottom of the screen, which adds some nice visual depth to the game and saves it from being a standard 'top down' affair.
So in short- sub sims in general tend to be slow, tactical things. This game isn't a sim, but in its own simple way it allows you to get quickly stuck into some basic tactics, and have more fun doing so than what many sims will. Recommended.
- Joel Blackwell 9/10
This is the only sub game I have come across to date, and its brilliant, the story goes on for several levels, all completable if you try hard, and if you just want to torpedo the enemy shipping for the hell of it, well you can do that to, I sent it to my i8510 because it has java, so I did end up with a no sound fault, but I didn't mind it cant bother any one else this way can it. So please update this game for the later mobiles, it really is excellent.
- Pete 9/10
Absolutely cracking arcade-style sub game. Perhaps a little too easy once you progress to the larger subs, but challenging enough to keep you entertained. The game offers a good choice between following missions or simply cruising the seas and wreaking havoc on enemy shipping! Highly recommended for all you budding sub commanders!

Slg have done it again!!
Bfm is a great game- the graphics are smooth- the gameplay as you'd expect from slg is intuitive and excellent- the vagaries of fishing captured pretty well-and the fun too.
The competition could possibly be a little harder- and the option of a hidden fishing venue would really open the game up- however- if you are looking for a game to pass the hours, then the freeform is great- especially when you cathc the legendary kempie fish!!
Well done slg- more please!!
- Anonymous Review 9/10
I just had a blast!!! I didn't know that a game like that exist in a cell phone. I have played that game before in arcades, but the mobile game is a lot better. Player should try to catch bass fish in a huge lake. There are four places you can 'park' your boat to fish. Each fish has different difficulty that depends first of all on its weight. The heavier the fist, the more difficult to catch. To catch bigger fishes you have to upgrade your equipement in a shop. You can buy better fishing poles, gloves, radar for bigger fish, etc. There two ways to play the game. The free game and the competition. In the free game you can fish as much as you want with the equipement you got. In the competition you must compete against 31 other fishers in three different levels. You fish for some minutes and the heaviest three fishes you catch are added. The better fish, the better your position. Between days (each level of competition is four days long) you can buy new things and upgrade your equipement in the shop. You can also sell what you don't want. The fishing itself is a lot of fun. You throw your bite in the water and wait for the fish to catch. Then you must tire (get our the energy of the fish) the fish, be careful not to break the line and finaly catch it. The game is extremely funny and it is a good investement for a real fisherman.

Absolutely loved the game. It was a challenge to win the last tournament, great fun!

Customer Reviews
'07 was good. '09 for run of the mill devices was better. '09 for the touch screen is a genuine cut above the other versions of tiger woods pga tour. Here's why -
In previous versions it was possible to"get down" a certain mechanics to the swings and almost guarantee the perfect or near perfect shot. The touch screen brings into the game the feel of golf as well as the thinking of golf. Before you had to think like a golfer but now you also have to have some of the same physical steadiness of hand, you need the same physical awareness of power and distance and how they relate. This game is on a different level and more sophisticated level than pga tour '09 for devices with keyboard input.
As amazing as the interface is I have to say i'm a wee bit unhappy with the greens graphics. It looks like they took the low road here and blew up the 240 x 320 graphics for the larger screen 5800. There is aliasing readily apparent around the cup when you sink the ball. Having said that the overhead shots of the links do not suffer from this. The green shots seem to be the only place where this is really an issue,
I'd rate this a 9+ for player interface; 8+ for graphics; 8+ for sound. I am enjoying it even more than the other versions i've bought, this being the third version on my fourth device. To me it is a "must have" application for my daily phone.
- Robert Chambers 9/10

Advanced Karpov 3D Chess review from www.gamemobile.co.uk |
|
|
|
Advanced Karpov 3D Chess
Description
“Karpov 3D Advanced Chess” is a mobile chess game featured with true 3D perspective and surprisingly advanced AI. Are you ready to accept its challenge and plunge into exciting and absorbing tridimensional matches?
Customer Reviews
I have two chess games for my mobile, karpov 3d and chessmaster.
Karpov 3d plays well; the ai is good, and , as a learner player, it gives me a good game and i'm sure that the harder levels will keep me on my toes as I improve (hopefully!). It is possible to save games in progress to continue at a later date, which is handy if you're playing is interrupted at all.
This is the plus side, but there are quite a few minuses. The interface is difficult to use; it is hard to be certain which piece you are moving and where you've put it. In fact, it is much easier to see what is going on in 2d mode! On top of that, it does not boast the same range of extra features that chessmaster does. For example, chessmaster has a library of classic games which, as far as i'm aware, kapov 3d doesn't. These classics are excellent to learn a bit about the great games. Also, in any game you play against the ai, chessmaster will tell you which opening has been played. This is very useful when you come to analyse what went wrong when you lose! Karpov 3d doesn't do this.
So, in conclusion, if you want a game to play on the train, karpov 3d will fulfill that function more than adequately. If you want to know which I think is best, then I would recommend chesamaster.
- Ian Edwards 7/10
A great game with plenty of viewing options, including 2d and 3d. The game can be a little slow to load a new game, but the ability to play a saved game over again helps to improve ones strategy. It does have a tendency to show 'check mate' before it is actually achieved but the game can be played to conclusion nevertheless. I definitely recommend this game.
- Richard Midwinter 8/10
The interface is horrible. The engine is challenging. You simply cannot see your peices. Very cluttered. There are better chess programs available. No point having 3d if you cannot rotate your view.

It's ok but gets a bit boring quite soon - the graphics are good considering it's on a phone, but the three circuits feel the same although they look different. Steering via my phone's joystick must be preferable to pressing keys, but it all feels a little clumsy.
I've only played it a few times since getting it weeks ago because it just doesn't draw me in.

Customer Reviews
I love this game, and for a long time couldn't put it down. The controls are fantastic - you can build markets, harvest food or attack with dragoons all at the push of a few buttons. The graphics are pretty good, and resource management isn't too tricky, especially when you've built a market. However, this game has quite a steep learning, curve, with things not explained too well in the first mission. That said, once you can do it it all becomes a lot easier, and the earlier missions only teach you a few things at a time. However, I quickly worked out a winnig tactic, and it was fun for a long time, but games became repetitive, and it was the only tactic I could find. It's still very worth the money, and i'd give it 8/10.
- David King 8/10
What can I say, I knew it was going to be as brilliant as I thought. ^_^
Im not so sure about the workers not having to return to a storage house anymore... :/ that was an enjoying aspect of the old game
But thank god! They have put in the save game feature that was soo much lacking from its predesessor
I think one thing that is maybe lacking is the speed of the last game, which was allot quicker than this one, units seam to move at snails pace, may be more realistic, but also gets very draining when trying to move long distances
No doubt this game isnt good for your eyes .
- James Poel 9/10
Superb! Exactly what you expect from the game and a very usefull save feature.
Campaign mode perhaps a little too easy even on the harder difficulty but thanks to the nifty skirmish mode its a game you can play again and again!

I like adventure games, and this game is very good. The only thing is that you have to walk quite a bit, so it should have had a button you could press and hold to make the character run.

The game mr and mrs tarzan is very cool to play because of the great story lines and the great colour detail, although I can see that the game will be fun the instructions are hard to follow and the directions aren't really that great because tarzan keeps running and he is hard to control.

A lovely new twist. A nice story line, where you play normal levels, then up against various bosses, that become slightly harder. The downfall is the game is over before you know it, which suggests it lacks levels to play.
Not like the original which took me six months to complete with a score of 1, 040, 168.
- Stewart Byrne 7/10
This game is excellent! With the many different types of challenges available, this game takes on new twists with each level! Definitely a hooker and it kept me enthralled for ages before I could tear myself away! For those who like this sort of entertainment but who need new takes on the game, get this one!
- Adam Tan 10/10
Good fun and tricky at times. Some parts of it are totally random depending on the jewels entering the board making it partially lucky but it does have an air of tactical play.
Ended too soon for me as I finished it in a couple of days. Now trying to beat my high score.

War Diary Torpedo review from www.gamemobile.co.uk |
|
|
|
War Diary Torpedo
Description
Bay of Bengal, 1943. Only the periscope wake disturbs moonlit waters as you spy on dark shapes on the horizon. War Diary: Torpedo by Rovio Mobile puts you at the helm of your own World War Two submarine. Naval campaign set in the waters of Far East takes you right through the real events of the war, from the Fall of Burma to the surrender of Japan.
War Diary: Torpedo is a unique combination of action, simulation and naval tactics. As a British submarine skipper you must sink ships, infiltrate minefields, spy on hostile ports and extract commandoes from jungle shores. Success is rewarded with medals, promotions and assignments to more powerful submarines.
War Diary: Torpedo features both a top-down map of the battle area and a three-dimensional scope view. Multiple escort types, advanced enemy AI, aircraft and minefields put your seamanship to test. Submarine is no match for a warship in an open battle, so your keys to victory are skill, cunning and stealth.
War Diary: Torpedo is the WW2 era submarine simulator for mobile phones!
You are at the helm of your own World War Two submarine.
Easy controls put an entire submarine at your fingertips

Customer Reviews
Good game, which makes full use of the 5800 touch screen, though you will need to use stylus or plectrum for some things. You play in landscape mode, and the game is fun, but I felt it was way too short, and didn't have much replayability. I certainly admire the game designers for coming up with a smart, witty little title, but if you are planning on taking a long trip with your 5800, pack another title, as this one is too short.
- Dylan Tusler 7/10
Great little game. The puzzles were a little simple but the characters in it where good as were the graphics. Shame it was a little short.
- Andy Parsons 8/10
A bit too easy, although some of the later stages give pause for thought. Altogether a fun way to blow an hour. Shame there weren't more mansions or mysteries, since now I might as well uninstall the game.

|
|
|
