| Adam Aherne-conroy | Think 1990's- you are sitting at your desk loading up another attempt on lotus esprit turbo challenge on you commodore amiga. The atmospheric music starts and soon the racing flag is up and you are doing your best to whip your mate out of pole position.
This game is a triumph. Definitely the best racing fest I have seen on a mobile phone and as good as it gets in my opinion. From the addtional tuning kits to the girl you can choose to ride in your car it is involving and absorbing.
The new tracks are quite testing- especially when you get trapped in the central pylons and keep turning the car over. That can be quite frustrating but it adds depth to the game and provides lasting playability as you will not always win.
Improvements on this version are the ability to hit turbo twice and tear through the police blocks and the endless jumps that are tremendous fun when you hit them at speed and wipe out a competitor with a hefty metal bonnet.
The choice of vehicles is decent and the combination of kits endless- you can decide whether you want more speed, acceleration or control etc...
The biggest let down is the music and sound effects, which are generally poorly developed on mobiles but will doubtless improve as the phones evolve. Still when do you ever sit on a train with the sound blaring away? It is not what you are after.
Basically dust off your flying hat and goggles, pop down to the charity shop for an out of season scarf and you are ready to tackle this beautiful piece of programming. Lovely ! |

| Jamie Darlington | Not a bad mobile game by any stretch, and with far more playability than most in the driving game series. The developers really seem to have worked hard to fit so much variety and fun into such a small mobile game.
When I say small, I don't mean that this is a quick 5-minute game to complete as there's plenty of tracks to play and 4 different modes for each one (police pursuit, destruction, normal racing etc). It also has some very nice cars, some of which were seen in ashphalt 2 gt, and there are some brand new ones too. Having played both it's predecessor, urban asphalt 2 gt - and the new need for speed carbon mobile game, asphalt 3: street rules is the clear winner in my book. |

The game loads somewhat slow on launch but is understandable once you see the very nice graphics, smooth gameplay and the cool cars. The prize of acquiring more cars, parts and a hot babe makes asphalt 3 addicting to play. Definitely a worthwhile download. |
